The frick you can.
I'd be retired earning money off a giant wind farm in WTX if the DoD via the FAA hadn't nuked the project.

One of the great things about living here is not dealing with trash. Infuriating that the government just plops people with no jobs or prospects in a upper middle class area.
Wtf do they think is going to happen?

100% WRONG. It's none of those things when the federal government is using my tax dollars to subsidize this shite. You don't know much.

I was wrong. You aren't misinformed. You are being a dick.

I’m sure there will be a lot of “workplace accidents” in which damage is done to the complexes.

They didn’t have those issues when I lived in Shavano Park. Nice place.

They did this by us. It was delayed a while because of flooding but they eventually got done.
I haven't noticed mucg change in/around our neighborhood. Crime is up slightly but I don't believe it's the apartments.
I hear the public school our neighborhood is tied to went down but I love my kids so they are in private Catholic school.

Oh. My. Word.

Sounds like blockbusting to me.

Some low income units will ruin the whole district? Sounds like district wasn’t that great in the first place. You sound like a Karen.

It won't ruin it but it's definitely not going to improve it. And I guarantee this district is better than any in Louisiana by a mile

They did the same where I live but it was really so the divorced dads from the neighborhood could have a place to live close by the kids after their wives fell out of love and took the house, kids and half of their funds and valuables

Think on the bright side.
I originally thought that some Kangz were being sent to your neighborhood, which would be worse than illegals.

Low income residents in apartments are the start. If they were generally well-managed (get rid of the ghetto, shite tenants) it might not be so bad. But, they usually are not well-managed.
Nobody (black or white) wants to be around ghetto. But, the feds keep moving ghetto to where no one wants them.

Can you be a little more specific?
A lot of times those "low income" type of units are for police, teachers, civil servants. One development being 650units is massive. it's either two phases or part of a long term development of mix-use.
***Nevermind, I know which development you're referring to now.

I see this in my community as well. It is what it is.
On the bright side, maybe the football and basketball teams will get some much needed talent to pool from. More Randy Mosses and less Wes Welkers if you catch my drift.

That’s one thing Madison, Mississippi has right. The mayor does not allow apartments to be built in the city. Keeps the riff raff out.

Except that schemes like this are usually funded or subsidized by the government with an intended goal. Don't want to live in a crime-infested 'hood? Fine. The FedGov will bring the 'hood to your nice suburb.
