I just don’t get how people get hooked on that crap. The dilaudid in the hospital a coupe times definitely had me loopy and feeling no pain but the few times I’ve had opioids prescribed i couldn’t stand them. They dulled the pain a bit but mostly had me itchy and irritated and shitting bricks.
I definitely never got even close to the sensation of “oh, let me destroy my entire life in pursuit of sloth and degradation.” For this.
Maybe I’m lucky that particular demon never had my number. shite destroys people.

Never dealt with heroin. But, I had a serious problem with drugs and alcohol. It takes hitting rock bottom and wanting to get clean before he can get sober. I've been sober almost 9 years. It took me being so fricked up that my kid was scared and called my sister to come pick her up. Hopefully this will be his rock bottom and he will be willing to get help. If I can get sober, anyone can. I was a mess.

You're not trash and neither are they. That shite can sneak into the strongest person's life during any crack in their resolve or moment of weakness.
18 or 48, it doesn't matter. And it doesn't take a junkie to overdose these days.

What’s the most pull ups you could do in your prime vs now?
I can do 36
Would you say your brother can do more or less pull ups than you?

Distant relative of mine did. This person was murdered in a drug deal gone bad. All I am gonna say about it.
It all started by getting in with "the wrong crowd" as this person was from a really nice and well-to-do family.

Every family has one whether they know it or not. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for him. He needs rehab/therapy but also the willingness to both get clean and stay that way.

A friend's sister, who was completely non-drug culture depicting, ended up dead from what was an apparent oxy-turned-heroin-turned-fenanyl addiction. It was totally out of left field.
Take this and multiply it a million times and it kind of defines how terrible of a situation this is. America spends so much attention on BLM and anti-police culture but there's waves of much more horrible tragedies just under the surface.

A daughter. In-patient rehab multiple times, IOP multiple times plus every kind of counseling available in addition to psychiatric care for co-occurring mental disorders. Goes back to heroin as soon as she is not locked down. Live in fear of a phone call about a fatal overdose. Hope your loved one makes it. Addiction takes such a toll on the addict’s family members.

He has no responsibility: gets drunk / high every night and fights with his girlfriend
