Mother's boyfriend was attacking the mother with a baseball bat. Boy intervened, and was killed by the boyfriend.

Found the obit to answer my question and exactly as expected, there were three other kids in the home with different last names. One had the same last name. This woman was 31 with 4-5 children. She has zero ability to make decent choices and got one of her children killed. Very sad
