Gill said it was the woman who found Witz on Tinder and invited him to her apartment, then into her bedroom. If he could prove that, I can see the jury getting reasonable doubt from that alone.

I can see that too. If she invited him over via Tinder, there's a chance her original intent was sex.

That said, the guy looks guilty. And knowing not to say anything to the police, that's pretty slick. It seems like this guy's thought this through and knew what to do in case he gets into trouble.

IMO, based on that and some of the testimonials about this guy in the thread, he lucked out with the jury. And I feel bad for the woman.

Someone that realizes that they just hooked up with a crazy bitch. Both of them sound like they have problems.

How is knowing your basic rights slick? That's bullshite. Innocent people should do this immediately as much as guilty. Cops will pull every dirty trick in the book to make you confess to even something you didn't do, lawyers are there to protect you from that garbage.

"Absence of yes = No"

WTF? It's not like she was passed out.

Sounds like they did some bondage and she regretted it afterwards

I would sure hate to have some of you on a jury. Basing guilt on the way he looks and douchiness.

I think it is more she's on Tinder, and invited him into her bedroom.

It is really hard for me to think a rape happened at that point.

Someone should invent an app where a woman gives you consent for sex and you can have proof of it in case she turns bat shite crazy(likely) afterwards.

This guy may very well be guilty. But, he may very well be innocent, but that doesn't matter at all now. That's the big problem with these cases. And the very reason this guy probably lawyered up with a quickness. People come to arrest me and question me about raping a girl that I hooked up with, and the first thing I'm doing is getting an attorney even if I'm 100% innocent. Because as this thread shows, innocence doesn't mean a whole lot. You're still going to be guilty in the court of public opinion with probably 50% of the population. NO MATTER WHAT.

If they are that bat shite crazy they'll just claim they were forced to consent via an app like this one claims she was forced to delete texts and shower.

I don't like the guy, but this is stupid. Of course you shouldn't talk to the police.

That's just common sense, not being "slick". Exercising your rights is not "slick" or proof of guilt. I repeatedly see crap like that posted on here, and it blows my mind.

Even if I'm completely not connected to a case and trying to help the cops, I'm still going to have my lawyer present. That's being intelligent.
