Or not. (See Salinas v. Texas)

People forget that police are not your friends

Was there any physical evidence of rape (bruising, etc.) as opposed to just DNA from consentual sex?

I think it is more she's on Tinder, and invited him into her bedroom. It is really hard for me to think a rape happened at that point.
I could understand that line of thinking if she was filing a civil suit or something frivolous, but to have the guy indicted and go all the way to a jury verdict in the trial leads me to believe she thinks she was raped at the very least.
That is an awful lot of effort for someone that just regrets the sex.

Why is that? 75% of the posters in this thread would hire him in a heart beat, and we know the OT has the most influential business owners in the south, ergo his life is not ruined and he'll be hired in no time.

No they wouldn't

I thought he made her bathe all the evidence away

That's what she claimed. Where's the evidence to back this up though? How do you go about proving he forced her to bathe? Short of that, it's her word against his.

Why not? I think it is fair to say 75% of the posters in this thread are sympathetic to him, which is perfectly fine, so why wouldn't they hire him if he was a qualified candidate?

Herein lies the problem with most rape cases.
ETA: It's a shame everyone has to take a side. A he said, she said doesn't mean the guy is a rapist, but it also doesn't mean the girl is a lying whore.

Exactly. If all you've got is her word and his word to go on, there's no way for there to be a valid conviction. Does that mean some guilty rapists will walk? Sadly it does. But it also means some innocent guys won't go to prison for a crime they didn't commit. Or at least that's how it SHOULD work.

If you are forcibly rape I would imagine there's some vaginal tears likely along with bruising. Things a bathtub cannot fix. This seems to be a key piece of missing info. But based on the quick 2-hour innocent jury verdict, my guess was no type of evidence was found. I can't see how he got off if there was such evidence.

I think she bathed and deleted the sexts to keep her BF from finding out that she played Ho the night before.
Her having a BF and finding some dude on Tinder...changes alot about my perceptions of her.
Bigtime.

Of course it hurts her case, but she still could have been raped.
I just have a hard time imagining an accuser/DA taking a case all the way to a jury trial and verdict just to cover up a situation where she cheated.
Additionally, it takes a special kind of stupid to stay with a woman who was still on Tinder and invited a guy over. Consensual or not, the situation doesn't look very good for your relationship.

The DA just wants a conviction, doesn't matter the facts. If there is a sucker who can't beat the charges they will take it. Another reason to NEVER talk to the police.

That's a very valid point that points towards a possible motive for her claims. It's all too common for a girl to get get some strange and they cry rape to cover up the fact she's really just a cheating whore.

Has any new information come out?
Posted on 2/2/16 at 3:02 pm to Tigerpaw123
What do you think happens when this guy applies for a job and someone googles him?
Not Guilty verdict doesn't mean he isn't facing penalties just for being accused. Why is the accuser's name not being released?
