"black spring break" was a thing in Va. Beach years ago when I lived there.

Someone mentioned several pages back about crackdowns in Destin and PCB. Stuff like that happens all the time. And it isn't just the kids. I've seen a grown man get arrested in the hot tub at the place my parents used to own a condo. Three sheets to the wind and blaring music by the pool at 1 AM, when it was supposed to close at 10. Security guard warned him, and he and his trashy family left. Went back out 30 minutes later, and they hauled his fat wet arse off in cuffs the second time.
We pretty much quit using the place if it was weekends on spring break or a holiday weekend. One Memorial Day there was a group flying a pirate flag and doing body shots in the toddler pool. All of them over 40 and very much white. Also saw a little tiki hut bar get vandalized and broken into before it opened up for business that day. We were just relaxing on the beach and this guy tries to act inconspicuous as he walked up with a crowbar to pry the padlock off the pop up windows. Made off with a few bottles of liquor before a lifeguard planted him face first into the beach, then they held him there until the cops could come arrest him. Large gatherings of drunk people no matter their race is usually trouble.

that's not just a "black" issue, which is often forgotten in these threads
a large chunk of our society just has this irrational belief in not being "normal" or "safe" and they live up the counter culture
traditionally this was the avenue for the young, but with the safety net and generations of cultural development, it's the norm for large portions of the population. primarily poor, but also extremely progressive (and they're usually well off)
there is an irrational belief that it's wrong to think people have to work to be included into naturally inclusive groups. they only see it as a form of exclusion and somehow society is supposed to ignore signals of culture, class, values, etc.
sadly, this only reinforces the rejection of the norm of the cultural/value underclass, which means at least one more generation won't understand how to get out of that situation
