Black Fatherhood: Myths and Realities

Man, I am going to recieve A LOT of downvotes for this one. This is probably going to fall on deaf ears, but the truth is
1) There are black fathers out there who really care about their kids even if they dont get along with the mother.
2) It is a two-sided street. It is always black men are to blame and the women are always the victim. This is the same board that always gloats about women being deceptive when it benefits them. Ever thought it strange that they continue to see these guys with all these glaring problems. Fact is, they choose these men of their own accord, they encourage the behavior, and they know the government will bail them out.
Okay, so here are some links looking at this issue from both perspectives.
Abscence of Black Fathers America's Favorite Scapegoat
Father abscence decimates black communtiy
Fox News Hard Truths about inner city ---Trying to be bipartisan
Deadbeat dads are not the real root of the problem
Read these at your own leisure. Let me start off by saying that I am currently not a father, so I cant offer that perspective. However there are some things I can share from my experiences with good black fathers and mentors. Please comment and ask away. This OP is already too long as it is, but I will try to respond.
And for the record, I don't really believe in staying in an unhealthy marriage for the sake of children. I think two responsible adults, seperated/divorced, should always do the best thing for their kids, not create a false display of unity (only for it to come apart later).

Lacking’ a father is not the reason white supremacy, gun violence, and police brutality endangered these youths. But it was easier to make the black father the issue, not the systems and institutions that toy with black life constantly. It is actually quite funny how people believe a black father being in or out of the picture would stop a bullet from taking a child from this Earth too soon. It won’t.

Don't you have actual work to do instead of trying to influence people on the internet that you don't know?

I agree with you, black women are the worst.

Black fathers are not the problem. Absentee black fathers are.

What a fricking bizarre way to look at this problem.
Actually it's not bizarre, it's asinine and useless

Black kids being born to single parents at around 72% is not a myth. I read a book by Thomas Sowell that went through this in extensive detail. His research showed that the black kids born in two parent homes had the same economic outlook and incarceration rates as white kids born in two parent homes.

Reality: over 70% of black children are born to a single mother
Myth: they have they same chance at a normal life

I'm only mentioning it because you've done it in several recent posts but it's "a lot". Alot is not a word.

I would reply but I don't want to get banned this close to football season.

So we should be less racist towards black men and more racist towards black women?
That seems like a fair compromise, I'm down.
