I've done it a few times.

They probably won't have scissors but if you're looking to go short it'll work.

Haven't been there, but seriously.. Just go in and ask.. "yall cut white people's hair?". More than likely you will be welcomed, if not the barber willl either tell you or you will be able to tell from his response.. If that happens then just leave.

I used to go to a place called ‘Heads Up’ in Waco when I was younger. They faded me up great and I used them throughout my school years. It would always be a few friends and myself that went In together.

Convo in there was always entertaining, but it was like a three hour excursion because the barbers would cut for 20 seconds and then talk for five minutes.

Never got a bad fade there.

It's a really nice old school establishment. You'd be surprised.

It really does look enjoyable. That's why I asked. I was trying to avoid having to walk in and ask if they cut white people's hair. I chickened out and went to Troy at lunch. Maybe next month.

Go in there and tell them that Rocky Marciano was the the greatest fighter who ever lived. Dr. Martin Luther The King told you so.

Sure why not

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were shot, one of whom later died, in the South Main district downtown Friday, and the suspect was last seen fleeing the scene.
Memphis Police said two people were shot at a barbershop near Butler and Mulberry — the same area as the National Civil Rights Museum, where a lot of tourists were visiting.
"A young lady said run, and we all started running," one tourist said. "A lot of people fell. Kids were screaming. We didn't know what was going on. We heard someone had a gun."
A business owner across the street told WREG the shooting happened at Christyles Barber Shop, which Memphis Tigers head basketball coach Penny Hardaway helped found.

I was in the chair at a white barber shop when a young black woman walked in and asked about a haircut. She sounded like she was from out of town, likely here working on a movie, which was common then.

The barbers were all white and all their customers are white men. They said they worked on appointments only and were all booked up. Come back later? Sorry, booked. I watched her face as she figured out she was never getting a haircut there. It was awkward.

After she left, the barbers said they wouldn’t have any idea how to properly cut her hair. I guess they were too embarrassed to just tell her that.

I got a haircut at a black barbershop in the Midwest once. Awesome fade and beard trim that impossible to maintain. I ended up shaving my face and going without hair product for quite some time waiting for all of my lines to grow back. Not to mention I had razor burn in my cheeks because those guys don’t know how to shave my sensitive Irish skin. But I do have a forever picture on their FB page because the cut was fresh as hell. I’ve never posted a pic of myself before, but I kinda want to post this one.

The only issue would be if they know how to cut white hair. Most white shops cant cut black hair either. It is what it is.

Unless you going somewhere in the hood, you will be completely fine if you just wanted to check it out. Just act normal, contrary to popular belief sometimes, black people are just regular folks, we dont bite.
