You'll get some stares from the waiting area, but that's basically it. The bigger issue is that they don't cut white hair often so you may not like the results.

Bottom line, you're a customer and you're giving them business. They won't mistreat you.

I'm not scared of being physically harmed. It's not in the hood. But I am a bit scared of the dynamic.

Be sure and tell them you like black people and that a friend of yours has a black friend.

I basically have a New Iberia haircut. I don't think that should be a huge issue. I think I'm gonna give it a try at lunch.

Is that the infamous Amite "Bama Bagman" Barbershop?

Also, There was an SJW on the Ducote show talking about supporting black-owned businesses. This probably qualifies and will up your SJW cred if you are into that sort of thing.

When speaking in the barber shop, don't pronounce the "r" on the end.

Edit: Not talking about the word "barber"

I know this is a troll thread, but I'll bite.

Assuming they can cut your hair in the style you want, they will.

Nobody will bother you. Seen plenty of white guys come get their hair cut over the years and I never thought twice about it.

May get the occasional surprised look from people walking in, but that's the worst you should expect.

What's blatantly obvious, but no one talks about, is that white dudes, and biracial guys, fades are always look better. Why? Because the color contrast of the hair against the lighter skin. It makes the whole cut that much fresher.

I have been many a time. You will enjoy the time there. I think the only difference is, well nothing. People are people.

I have some great haircuts from black barbershops. Walk in and ask. They will either be glad to take your money or they will say they do not know how to cut your style of hair.

Most of the time they are glad to take your money.

ETA: What did you think they would do if you came in ... pull out a blade and say "what you want white boy?"

Probably less hassle if you went in there with a buddy. Do you have a black friend?
