If you have to ask the answer is yes. Good to see you are so considerate that you didn't even think about it while getting someone else to do one of the most dreaded chores of all. Just save your money. Doesn't sound like you are a good tipper anyway. And, they do make more than minimum wage, but so do people that cut hair and Most people tip those people for providing good service.

I use Kroger. I guess that I use it a lot. One day they gave me a bag of free random items for free for being a loyal ClickList customer. Probably a $20 value. I thought that was pretty cool.

Not bad, IIRC. It was some guy who probably couldn't care less about my experience at Walmart. We didn't do any produce but may next time.
If it was an AG store who had good employees who knowledgeably picked produce and was pleasant and was cognizant of customer service, it'd be amazing. I think most grocery stores will go to this one day. It's much more efficient to have a specialist who knows exactly where everything is in the store pull my groceries, even if there was an extra fee associated.

Eh, I'm going to disagree here. I don't think it's a lazy thing going on here...more of a "too busy" thing. The person pulling the groceries doesn't have a job without the customer pickup option. If you grab your own groceries, you're helping eliminate the person's position at Walmart. No need to tip....they're doing their job.
ETA: Anyone tipping the person that goes out and gets your cart? Nope...why not? Same difference. It's their job.

haha. Walmart employees are definitely underpaid, it's how they "pass along the savings to you". Walmart employees cost taxpayers aproximately $6.2 BILLION per year because of Medicaid, foodstamps, housing, etc.

I'm thinking it's the other way around. This program is targeting the people who avoid the hell out of WalMart because they don't have to go inside.
I hate WalMart, but a free service where someone shops for me, I get WalMart prices, and I don't leave my car? Tempting to try out.
EDIT - I'm an over-tipper, but they have employees specifically hired/paid for this. This isn't the same as pulling a $2.13/hr waiter off of their tables to do to-go orders. If I had the money to tip, I would. But I wouldn't feel as badly as I would in a restaurant or something.

I tried tipping them at the location off of highland/lee (?) and was told that they do not take tips because that is what they were hired to do.
Made a pickup at the location off of gause blvd in Slidell and I was told that they gladly accept tips and held his hand out.
I'm sticking with first response.

Is there any fees from Wal Mart for this service? Our Local Grocery stores are offering Store to home deliveries, so if Wal Mart has a fee, would be pointless.
I have heard that Wal Mart is very bad about replacing name brand shite, if out of, with off brand stuff, not a different named brand item. So no ragoo, you get Bobsgoo, instead of another of the named brand sauces?

No fees and often some items are discounted if you purchase through the grocery app.
As much as I hate Walmart, I have to admit this i a great service. During the week, the wife and I add the things we need to the app. On Thursday night I place the order for p/u on the way home from work on Friday.
When I leave my office I check in using the app. When I pull into the reserved parking spot I normally wait less than 2 minutes and they come out with my stuff and load my car.
They pick the good produce and everything is kept in the cooler until you arrive. I do not get meat but everything else they have had available. If you order a small item and it is out of stock, they will substitute for a larger size.

What I do know is you can't buy Great Value shite via Pickup. There goes your 'fee' if you have to buy brand name items.

This is the only reason I see Walmart still being competitive. I would go to Target just because I hate shopping at Walmart and seeing all the disgusting fat and trashy people. Now that I don't have to go inside, cheaper groceries, no riff raff. I like it. Buy your Walmart calls boys.

I have never had this happen and you can easily request no substitutions for what ever items you wish. The always sub for something better.
Twice I ordered the Kelloggs 8 count pop tarts and they subbed it with the Kellogs 16 count.

Absolutely incorrect. Get the app or go to grocery.walmart.com and search for great value.
