This was the first time I've ever done this. Groceries were ordered online and paid for ahead of time. Someone at Walmart went and picked all of my groceries and when I got there, they brought them to the car. He helped me load them in the car.

I didn't think about tip until I was almost home, and it wouldn't have mattered because I don't carry cash.

Is this a tip scenario? If so, how much?

SIAP- I searched and didn't see this specific issue.

It's walmart. There's no code of conduct or SOP when it comes to tipping or anything else.. You could shite on the floors and no one would say anything

No I wouldn’t tip. Walmart pays them to do that. It’s not like waiters, who are severely underpaid

Kroger does this as well but they also charge a five dollar fee with every order. I figured that fee helps Pay the employees for this added feature

We just started doing this and no, we've never tipped. I'm sure they'd take it, but I don't feel bad using it. We know a lot of stay at home moms with bunches of kids who do this so they don't have to unload them all when getting groceries, and tipping is the last thing on their mind.

How long had the milk, eggs, cheese, and frozen stuff sat there before you got there?

if you are too lazy to grab your own groceries, then you should definitely tip someone to do it for you. A few bucks should be good.

I tried tipping the first time and the girl told me that they aren't allowed to accept tips.

I think they pull the cold goods and put them in a separate freezer to keep them cool. They were still cold when I got them home.

How were the expiration dates on the perishables? I was concerned about that in using one of these services as well as the quality of the fresh produce.

I use this service all the time.If you order, say, one can of Pam and all they have is a 2 can pack, they give you the 2 can pack and don't charge. Did have one colossal screw up on an order once but they re-picked it asap and refunded all money! $200.00 for free!

ETA: No I do not tip.
