There are about five or six of them clustered together.
Of those, I would be wary of Camelot and one other one (Eastbridge? Oakbridge?), both of which are between Woodland Ridge and Sherwood and were rough for the area back in the 90s and likely haven’t improved.

Woodland Ridge joining StG would be amazing

If all of BR gets absorbed into StG, would anything actually change?
Would the state Capitol become. StG?
Kinda trippy.

None are bad really, just older and needing work

Eastgate is kind of a lower, working class neighborhood but not particularly problematic.

I'd be fine with it but M.E. would be triggered

Some parts of Camelot are still ok I guess but not as nice as 15 or so years ago

It's not a bad neighborhood by any means. Just a regular, older middle class neighborhood. I'm not aware of much crime in Camelot other than vehicle break-ins which seem to happen everywhere now.
Some of the houses could use a little updating.

ya ... how DARE people try and let underprivileged kids improve their life through quality education.
out of curiosity, what % of these underprivileged kids actually have the grades to improve their life thru higher education? I’m truly interested to hear your guess on how many of these Title 1 students even sniff college. Go ahead Sally, take a swing

I haven’t been in Camelot in years but it was always middle class. Eastgate was lower middle class and property didn’t look as nice. Definitely take Camelot in because then you can get to Afton Oaks and Lake Sherwood.
You start taking Sherwood South, Coursey and Siegen completely into St. George and Baton Rouge tax revenue starts getting smaller and smaller.
St. George can essentially become the city Baton Rouge should have been if not for the crooks and cronies.

The goal should be woodland ridge, then Camelot and everything you can west of sherwood and s of i-12 all the way down to coursey.
St. George will have to prove itself, but should set it’s sights for more and more. Bleed the crooks dry

That alone would make it so worth the effort

If it’s 10, 20 30 per cent who cares, they all deserve a chance at a good education.
EBR has failed a lot of these kids.
From what I can tell they do a better job with higher achievers, those he qualify for magnet schools; however, they don’t help the kids who aren’t college material but who could learn a trade are left out.
Hopefully in time SG could do better.

SG should concentrate on organization and not worry about all this. In time things will take care of themselves if SG organizes.

You should have seen her facebook after the 1st petition failed. That heiffer took all the credit herself. She was posting about her being the one girl that took down an entire of racists or some shite. Smug B. She would sacrifice her entire family if she had to work 24/7 on some meaningless effort just to prove she could and show everyone how much smarter she is than they.

I grew up in Camelot 77-84 and driving through now it looks very nice still. Mature trees, nice well- maintained homes.

It's still a good neighborhood. I ride bikes with my kid through Camelot fairly often.

So your taxes would go up if annexed into BR because of the 10.6 millage on Cats and the additional 12.9 millage for begin part of BR. Are these people idiots? LINK
This is correct. Your Taxes would increase for CATS bus tax and possibly other items.
