re: Anyone with a new Bosch dishwasher to offer some feedback? - dawg23
We recently replaced our dishwasher. Considered the Bosch units, but my wife didn't want to have to deal with cleaning the filters. We went with KitchenAid - highly rated by Consumer Reports and has self-cleaning filter. Ours is the quietest dishwasher we have ever owned. And it cleans...

re: Do You Think Felons Should Be Able To Legally Have Firearms? - dawg23
For those who don't know exactly what the red flag law is, it is a gun control law that allows police or family members to petition a state court to order the temporary removal of firearms from someone who ALLEGEDLY is a danger to other people or themselves.
I fixed your ...

re: Looking to buy a home defense rifle - dawg23
I hate these threads (except for the occasional entertaining post). But I'll mention one aspect that (so far) nobody has asked the OP about -- who will you need to protect ?? if it's just you, or if it's just you and a spouse/SO, you have a much simpler defensive situation than those who h...

re: It is time to accept the fact that Joe Mo is going nowhere - dawg23
All coaches will get 3 years minus something so outrageously egregious.
Tell that to Arkansas and Florida State. They acknowledged that they made bad hires and took steps to move forward. Moorhead and Cohen need to go. But Cohen isn't going to admit he made a bad choice in hiring M...

re: Sending knife into Benchmade for sharpening...worth it? - dawg23
I think it's worth it. I just sent one back a few weeks ago after carrying it for a couple of years as a "box opener" knife. They did their usual excellent job - far better than I could. I don't care for Benchmade's politics. But every time they sharpen a knife and box it up to return it, they ha...

6mm or 6.5mm Creedmoor for Whitetail Hunting - dawg23
Looking for something w/ less recoil than 7mm-08 (for kids). Anyone use either of these calibers for deer or hogs ? If so, what weight bullet would you recommend ? I'm concerned that these may be too light (especially the 6mm) for anything less than "perfect" shot placement....

re: Yall remember the little couple that stole all that fishin equip? - dawg23
It wouldn't have gone to trial anywhere if the items weren't serialized and recorded properly. Too much doubt.
Agreed. There's a big difference between "knowing" and proving someone is guilty. For example - O.J. Simpson got away with murdering Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldma...

re: Do you think you know how to identify venomous snakes? - dawg23
I know as soon as I see them. Very little different from knowing a spotted bass before it's landed, or type of sparrow.
Good point - quite logical. As soon as I lift a bass out of the water I can tell in about 0.5 sec. if it's a largemouth or a spotted (Kentucky) bass. Unfortunately...

re: What is a good shotgun for home security? - dawg23
What is a good shotgun for home security?
One that you have shot a lot, or plan to shoot a lot. In the middle of the night you'll want / need to be able to rely on "muscle memory" to a great extent (charging the weapon, manipulating the safety, mounting the gun, etc.). You'll be usi...

re: Moorhead and Cohen both need to go - dawg23
This entire disaster needs to end. What a complete shite show.
Been saying this for two years. Cohen was about the worst pick the University could have made for AD. He could barely make it thru 12 innings when he was the baseball coach, without getting ejected. People say LSU mad...

re: What kind of chokes are you using in you shotgun? - dawg23
Briley. Nothing else needs to be said.
It's very hard to argue against this. Briley chokes are consistent, and apparently machined to very tight tolerances. I have used them for 15 years - clay targets mostly, but also for ducks and doves. You can break a clay target a lon...

re: Coaching - dawg23
A few nervous laughs on the sidelines? Don't recall but better than little to no emotion on the sidelines now, what I see from moosehead is fake.
I probably didn't explain myself sell enough. My point was that Mullen & Grantham quit doing any real coaching before the season ended. They...

re: Coaching - dawg23
Mullen? take him back in a New York second.
Go back and look at the tape of Mullen's last game against Ole Miss. The only emotion was Mullen and Grantham laughing together on the sideline every time we turned the ball over or got penalized for a late hit. I don't begrudge Mullen le...

re: Moorhead officially has my vote of no confidence - dawg23
Everyone from Cohen, to Moorhead will have to be evaluated. We have a culture issue and we have to face this face to face
Cohen needs to be fired tomorrow. He should never have been put in that job. The new AD, whoever he is, will have 2 months to get his feet on the ground and scou...
Clint Smith carries a 1911.
1. Can't believe this thread is still going. Then again, seeing some of the names, I guess it isn't surprising. Maybe it'll do 20 pages. 2. When I trained with Clint (three day pistol class) he was carrying a Springfield XD in 9mm. Heidi was carrying a G1...

re: Help me buy my first handgun - dawg23
At the risk of providing voyeuristic pleasure to your sycophant, it should have been pretty clear that I was referring to Downshift's statements that I quoted in my post - and that I was replying to a member who quoted those statements. I'm quite sure I have never claimed that revolvers are the best...
That's the point, it isn't negligible. Going bang is of paramount importance.

You're acting like there's a huge difference though. Revolvers can mess up too.
Downshift is 100% correct - it isn't negligible if your life depends n the gun going bang. There are cheap r...
My fiance told me that if I hadn't quit before I met her she probably would have turned down the 2nd date. So it's either the best or worst thing I ever did, yet to be determined
That's funny. Hope it turns out good for you. And congrats on having the willpower to quit....
