re: Ammo Price Gouging - dawg23
They did this before. Not sure why anyone buys from them no matter what the price.
Amen. They became infamous for jacking the price of used AR-15 mags from $15 to $120 during the Sandy Hook panic. [link=(http://ontheoutside.co/news/goodbye-cheaper-than-dirt/)]LINK[/link] I und...

re: Handgun for a novice. - dawg23
Just because open carry is legal where you live, that doesn't make it a good idea.(I assume you're in Texas.) Unless you have some solid handgun retention training, open carry is a really terrible option. (It's still a bad option even with that kind of training.) I agree with doliss and ot...

re: Concealed Carry Course Covington/Online - dawg23
I looked online and saw you can do a non resident Virginia license all online, then apply for the Louisiana permit after that. Has anyone had luck doing it that way before?
Nope. Louisiana does not accept non-resident permits (permits issued by a state other than one's legal state of ...

No one should be trying to profit off discoveries like this. Not the company and not you vultures looking to buy stock in the company. Are y'all trying to turn this into a capitalist economy or something ? Bernie warned us about you people. . . . . :booboo:...

Alx: Just now looking back at this thread (been dealing with Corona disruption), so I'm just now seeing your post. As MWP said, reading your post was an emotional experience. I sent you an email (using the only email address I have)....

re: Concealed Handgun Permit Renewals - dawg23
That’s good news. Glad my state went to constitutional carry last year so this isn’t an issue here.
There's a bill filed here that might make it into law - but the legislative schedule has been cut due to the Corona virus. So lots of bills will never get to (or out of) committee. Not ...

re: Concealed Handgun Permit Renewals - dawg23
I didn't ask that question when I spoke to them. I would think that's possible - depends on how many LSP people come down with the virus. I think the main message was what Speckled Tiger said: The governor doesn't want any large groups meeting - especially if they will have people be in close pro...

Concealed Handgun Permit Renewals - dawg23
AIA if this has already been posted: In case anyone missed it, the Governor has issued a proclamation/executive order stating that expiring CCW permits will be extended until May 1st. In a follow-up order issued a few days ago, he added a provision saying that the May 1st date will be re-asses...

re: Shotgun for home defense and some skeet shooting - dawg23
I've seen more than one person short-stroke a pump gun just from the adrenaline of shooting skeet; you don't want to do that in a bad situation. So if someone's just buying one that's going to live in a closet I advise them to get a semi-auto. Cops and military use pumps because they need to ...

re: Anyone have experience w Glioblastoma? Personal or professional? - dawg23
OP: As you've probably learned, the location of the tumor is a huge factor in one's prognosis. A very good friend of mine died from this disease almost three years ago. The surgeon told him that the tumor was on the left side of his brain and extended down into the brain stem. The left side co...

Rings Won't Stay Tight on Scope Mount - dawg23
Have Vortex Viper Gen II on AR. Aero Precision mount. Tightened rings to 17 in/lbs. Did not use any Loctite (Vortex recommendation). After firing ~75 rounds through the gun, I noticed shots stringing at 100 yards. Checked the rings and they were looser than the installed torque value (17 in/lbs)....
