Most importantly you want to be sure the pants are a solid 2" smaller than what you'd normally wear and stop at least 2" above your shoe tops.

And don't forget to pop that collar over your suit coat collar. Smooth like velvet.

Navy ties with a gray/charcoal suit?? WTF guys. White shirt and Black or Red tie, designs whatever, just make sure its black or red. Don't forget black shoes and black belt either. Buncha tacky mfers on the OT.

White shirt and any color tie, avoid darker colors like brown, black, gray, or navy.

Well now, this isn't true. They shouldn't be wore in a business setting, but out for cocktails with a grey suit, black shirt and no tie would look fine.
