BSL gets hit with hurricanes. I would do Covington/Mandeville

Do you even know what kind of people live uptown?
All kinds.
You don’t think “all kinds” live in Mandeville?

A little over an hour but the correct answer is Grand Isle
You're not getting to Grand Isle from New Orleans in "a little over an hour" unless by that you mean at least two hours. You can get to Mobile as fast.

Moved to Dutchtown in 2011 after living in NO my whole life. Best decision I’ve ever made. Really anywhere in ascension parish...sans Donaldsomalia...is a good choice.

Mandeville, Abita Springs, or maybe even Covington.

Pearlington, MS.
Clean, country living on the water for a pittance compared to NOLA or BSL/Pass Christian.
You'd probably have to home school though.

And you live in River Ridge
What’s your point?
You scared of black people?

Yes. I can get to Grand Isle in 1 hour and 30 minutes
It takes me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Mobile.

Depends on what you want out of the place and what you can put up with.
If you got kids and not much money, then public schools are important to you.
If you can’t do direct hits from hurricanes and/or floods well, well, that takes some places off the board.
Crime an issue, or even the specter of crime? Then some really nice houses are off the list.
I won’t mention where I am because it’s full enough already and it works well for me.

I just went there for the first time. Unless you love fishing, that place sucks.
You'd have to be completely insane to live there full time though

Well it’s a fishing town. So what do you expect?

Given the worsening conditions in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, maybe moving between them is putting yourself into an eventual suicide squeeze.

At some point, normal thinking people realize you are just moving between marginal degrees of shittiness in going from any one part of Louisiana to another.
