Spinoff of the East vs West LA thread...in your opinion, where is the best place to live in the NOLA Metro area?

"New Orleans metropolitan area includes eight parishes: Jefferson, Orleans (coterminous with the city of New Orleans), Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist and St. Tammany."

The traffic in St. Tammany is nuts imo.

these are not in any way part of new orleans by any stretch

there are still some areas in st charles that are decent, St. John the Baptist is as much a shite hole as 9th ward is

overall if you had to live a short distance from new orleans i would search in some of the rural wooded north shore areas

This right here x 1000000000000

Many people drive through BR and think it's a nightmare and then finally get through it, get on 12 and then find themselves in an even worse nightmare near Covington/Madisonville/Mandeville.

I've lived Uptown, University area, Bucktown, Old Metairie, Lakeview and Lake Vista. Hands down, Lake Vista has been best for us.
