A San Antonio team would mostly be tapping into existing NFL markets.

Give it 10 years and SA would be all saints. The cowboys own the area right now but it wouldn't take long for that change. Which is why Jerry would fight like hell for it not to happen.

I don't think anyone cares what the Texans ownership has to say, maybe they can force the Texans to go back to the Oilers as part of the deal

Lol the nfl doesn’t want the saints to move. New Orleans is one of the top 3 small markets, if not the top, depending on how you classify Green Bay. You are totally clueless

You are clueless if you don’t think the NFL would be all to happy to call the Saints the London Saints. More games are played there every year.

Facts are the Saints are among the most vulnerable franchises and the fact your self esteem is tied to NOLA having a pro team doesn’t change their likelihood of moving in your lifetime.

What is your obsession with moving the teams? Ever explain it? Its much worse than Giantkiller and borders on pathological.

Right. Why does the NFL want kill a still viable regional market only to completely cannibalize an already existing market?

Don’t bother. In 10 years both teams will be gone.

Why do y'all think that? Didn't Gayle say she was considering donating the Saints to the city?

Is the Superdome one of those “forever” type of places that because of the history and closeness to bourbon street it will never be demolished?

Gayle has a trust set up.

Dennis Lauscha would be in charge of the trust for both teams upon her death, and would need to sell both within 5 years. There are stipulations such as ownership promising upon some pretty severe penalties to keep both teams in New Orleans and sign new leases with the State etc.

All proceeds of the sales will go to various charities of the trust.

Are you paying any attention to the trajectory of this city? If you don’t think there is a real possibility that the teams will bolt, you have your head in the sand.

Put a AAA baseball team on the Northshore

AA is better and would have opponents in Biloxi, Mobile and Pensacola.

Well, I guess the new buyer could certainly move the teams. Who knows.

It will probably go something like when OKC native goon Clay Bennett bought the Sonics and was "negotiating" with Seattle. "Well of course we'd want to keep the team in Seattle forever. But we need a new, gigantic, billion dollar arena immediately."

Seattle: "Well..."

Bennett: "Nope. That's it. We're going to OKC. Bye"

I’d say North of I-10 in Gulfport/Biloxi would work, but if think that’s too risky for hurricanes as well. There won’t be a new stadium in Nola or along the immediate coast.

So, Chicago still had over 600 murders...
