Bay St Louis. Easy access for the NOLA crowd. Drop it north east of the I-12 and 603 exit. Would create economic boom in that area. There would be a higher ticket demand from outside of the city and certain people cant walk there etc. It will never happen because this would give them the chance to do it right.

This is how dumb these threads are. Do any of you genuinely think it’s feasible for Bay St. Louis to host superbowls, national championships, and NFL / NBA games?

If those teams and stadiums go, it’s not to anywhere on the Gulf Coast.

You would think New Orleans leaders would be thinking the same thing; however, over the past several years they have watched things in the city decay.

Covid caused some of the issues, but that’s passed. Crime is getting worse and no one in charge seems to care.

City leaders loathe the demographics of the fan base. They DGAF and know Gayle is just going to bend over, take it and stroke a check to the Archdiocese.

The Saints would just leave the state. Louisiana isn’t going to build a new stadium.

Just a few upgrades to the Rock-A-Chaws field and they'd be good to go!

Why not tear down Tad Gormley and rebuild something in the park. That area of the park has shite drainage. Large scale project like that would be great for the area.

That might force the city to do something about the canal/metairie/city park ave intersections that are a cluster all day.

Shreveport woke up. I hope BR is waking up.

I use to love going to a bug game over a long weekend in NO. It wasn’t that long ago either.

Neither team will be here in a decade the way NO is trending. The city doesn't know how to stop their slide, nor are they willing.
Ding ding ding

I’m sure Baltimore never thought the Colts would leave after 30 years.

Hell, the people of St. Louis probably didn’t believe it would happen.

Benson likely doesn’t give a shite about the city and would definitely sell or move for the right price.

Who dis? Moreno and Morrell?

Moreno is a true, hardcore progressive, but she is pretty smart and has been very vocal about needing to increase NOPD and a lot of changes that are pretty smart. She is not dumb. She is very left of center though.

JP I actually know somewhat personally. Good guy, he is left but really not overly so. Family man, kids go to Catholic schools. I think he would do a pretty good job by New Orleans standards.

The one everyone has to worry about somewhat is Oliver Thomas. He is a smart, pragmatic guy that is loved in the community, that just so happens to be a convicted felon that took bribes while in office. I think he has a real shot at winning if he runs.

Exactly, the suburbs they are moving to are in themselves major population centers close to other major population centers.
