The Gripen E would have been my choice as well but since you already said it then I’ll go with the another Swedish made weapon. The
Archer self propelled 155 mm howitzer. It’s the best artillery system in the world right now.

How so? I don't really keep up with tank warfare or news.

Not so fast my friend…Ukraine did not receive American spec tanks with depleted uranium armor. They were also used to plug a hole without any support to include infantry, air defense, and artillery which resulted in their easy destruction from suicide drones.
It took us years to analyze the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the findings were not as groundbreaking as we originally thought in the immediate cease fire. Many experts concluded just after 1973 that tanks were “dead” thanks to advanced ATGMs. Technology is just around the corner to counter the UAV threat. Like always, the balance between offense and defense swings back and forth.

That’s true but just like the Abrams they were down armored and the latest gen tech had been removed.

Yeah, they got the old export version from the 80s.
Every tank on that ground has had a good number destroyed. When they are being used the way both sides have been using them, they're a giant target any time they start to maneuver.

What's their production capacity?
The Euros may be looking to buy planes from anyone other than the US.

Are we talking current or historical? Because Id argue that historically the MiG-21 had biggest impact, being exported in huge numbers, but easy to maintain and fly, giving third world air forces first world capabilities.

It is odd how the Europeans have went away from proven designs. It seems like they want to stand out in their designs or something.
First you have all the delta-wing fighters like the Gripen, Typhoon, and Rafale. Then maybe 20-25 years ago, they all started to go to bullpup assault rifles like the Steyr AUG, FN F2000, FAMAS, etc.
Just kinda weird to me.

Swedes always had awesomely weird designs though. The Draken. The Viggen. And you should see the stuff that DIDNT make it into production.

Isn't this the truck that the 4runner is modeled after? In other words, the 4 runner is a SUV version of this truck?

I know. It's not just the Swedes though. Dassault loves their delta-wing planes. That's a French company. FN had a run where they were designing bullpups for different military contracts all the time. HK (Germans are notorious for building weird shite) had the weird G11 they designed for the competition that the M4 won.
The Euros just love some weird shite.

The Toyota Hi-lux. Official unofficial vehicle of the Taliban and ISIS. Practically indestructible.

Does it come with a free year for Sirus XM?

No tank is invincible. The Leo 2A7 is probably the best MBT in the world Abrams included. The question is whether you would rather be on the battlefield in a Leo or a T72/80/90. If you say any of the latter, you are a fool or have a death wish.
There is the horses for courses argument and there are terrain scenarios where a Txx tank will have an advantage due to certain characteristics like weight, but in general, the Western tanks are superior.

If this thread covers any singular piece of military equipment, hands down I’d vote for this one. It may not have had the greatest impact, but it certainly has played a role in conflicts and the impact of conflicts across the globe.

I'd say it has had one of the greatest impacts simply due to its longevity and the sheer number that have been produced when including all of the variants of the original design. They have probably been involved in every conflict on the face of the earth since it's inception.
