You don't even know where I live (hint: not Louisiana) Another fail assumption. You really suck at this internet thing.

Do you live in the USA?

Yes, I know where you live. Our educational system gets far worse results per dollar spent than almost any country in the world.

You people have fricked up the entire system

It only took you 9 pages to discover what everyone else already knew.

Not only ignorant, but slow.

This makes no sense in context. You've been bragging about Utah vs. Louisiana for multiple pages. Now you're acting like the entire country is the same.

This hypothetical group you have never met and can't identify by name is worse than gang leaders?

I’ve never met a gang leader either but I realize that they objectively exist.

Your arguments are all over the place.

No, I compared Utah to Louisiana.

Utah should be the norm. You're excited over shitty results.

No, I'm not. Just not impressed by the outlier.

Sorry for adding a little levity. I thought it was funny. Guess not.

Have you furnished those links I requested yet? Since we're back to being serious.

Teachers are horrible human beings who only want to groom and indoctrine students, all while bitching about how hard their job is and the low pay. Give me a fricking break you made the choice to teach and picked the easiest major of all time. Get a real fricking job or go into sales bunch of losers.

You're not informed enough to make a decision. You had no clue that expenditures had little correlation to outcomes.

Progressives lie because they are not informed.

It's not the parents' "natural IQs" that make the difference. That is faux Darwinian hogwash.
Rich, educated parents produce higher performing kids.
Because they inherit their parent's genes. You don't think some people are just born naturally smarter? I'm sure the janitor's kid and the doctor's kid are born equally haha. Is your IQ 100% genetic? No, but a good portion of it is. Poorer students typically get more in per pupil funding (eventhough liberals love to use that as an excuse so that they don't get called racist) and still get outperformed by wealthier students.

My wife is a 5th grade math and science teacher in a public school that serves primarily low-income and immigrant kids. She wouldn't do anything else in the world. It was her calling and she's great at it. Yeah, bureaucracy can suck and she has issues with some things, but she accepts it as part of the job. She makes $55k a year and has awesome benefits. Hell, I just came back from the gym that is provided to us as part of her benefits package.

He's already said he didn't.

The dumbass believes that Money is the only factor that can increase intelligence.

He's got it backwards.

A few of what I hope are legitimate critiques:

8% off the top for retirement is 1-2% too high.
Yearly salary increases are pretty terrible…roughly 1.5% annually in my district.
Compensation is wholly unattached to performance.

Going from $80/mo. insurance premium to $580/mo. due to having a family is a bit of a morale blow.
But, just 22 more years and I can start a new profession with a nice pension.
