100 bucks says his ministry will ask for donations to offset his medical expenses even though I know for a fact his current heatth insurance coverage has no out of pocket costs for 2025.

Isn't he a hundred and something?

Thought he would be found in an Airline Hwy motel room

Some of the people in this thread should be ashamed of themselves with these replies.
He who is without sin, cast the first stone...
Praying for his recovery. Gifted man of God regardless what anyone thinks.

Scripture clearly teaches that the church is responsible for judging its own members, especially those in leadership. There are numerous passages outlining this responsibility. Jimmy, being well-versed in the Bible, would have known that repeated adultery disqualifies a person from serving as a church overseer. Biblically, he had lost the authority to lead, but he chose not to step down, which is why I believe he has been treated the way he has.

He was probably the most talented preacher I’ve ever seen, which makes his failures that much more disappointing.

Few things I love more than a shitty hypothetical fake Christian.
Thing is, it's easy to throw stones when failings are large and public, but everyone is a sinner, including all Christians.
Someone sinning doesn't prove they aren't a Christian. Making excuses about it, continuing to do it, and being unrepentant about it might.

If Jimmy Swaggart sincerely sought God's forgiveness for his questionable taste or choice in women, then he's received it. Assuming that to be the case, he's in good shape if he and The Lord will soon be meeting.
However, with that said, IMO, Jimmy should have stepped down from any leadership position once he was caught with a hooker the second time. It's pretty hard to tell others how to live their lives when he failed so visibly not once, but twice.

LOL, you must not have been around BR way back then. He was officially caught "twice" but investigative journalists tracked him and photographed his gold Lincoln Town Car back at the scene of the debauchery MANY times. He just couldn't stop. There were numerous interviews with trailer park hookers all the way to into WBR parish that gave intimate details of his particular sexual kinks.
