Anyone know of any good Barndominium contractors that work around Southwest Louisiana or Southeast Texas. Looking into possibility building one near Lake Charles. Thanks in advance

This guy has quite a few youtube videos and specializes in this type of construction.
No personal experience but I have watched a few of his videos and he seems to be using sound methods to build housing with pre-engineered metal frame structures.
Hope this helps.

They're legit. Live on same street as my in-laws and their work seems impressive

Just by using that name you will have added ten to fifteen thousand to the project! Of course i'am joking, but tell them you want a barn with living quarters.

In Texas you get a huge tax break for one vs traditional.
For now.

I think this depends heavily on what you decide to put under the pre-engineered metal building roof.
Yes, If you want 10k sf of climate controlled living area the savings can be minimal to none.
If you want 5k sf living and another 5k sf garage/shop then the savings can be significant over stick built especially at higher eave heights.

I’m building one now in Georgia. Using a local guy to finish mine. Morton buildings is one of the larger contractors but they’re limited in area of service.
