Daikin does have multi-zone units. 2,3,4 and 8 zones systems for residential applications. You will have to change the existing indoor unit, it will not work with a multi-zone outdoor condenser. The multi-zone condensers have specific indoor units that will work with them. You will be able to use the existing lineset though. You can go to Daikincomfort.com for more info on their multi-zone systems.
Just lost my best friend of 15 years. My Yorkie, I want to get a tattoo of his paw print. Will be my 1st and only tattoo. Need recommendations, where to get the best one, anywhere from Lafayette to Beaumont.
I pray for anyone in the path of this of this as storm. I live in Lake Charles, and while I did not stay for Laura or Delta, the aftermath of a storm of this caliber cannot be underestimated, most parts of LC did not have even basic human necessities for 2-3 weeks at the least, meaning clean sanitary water, working sewer systems ( in some places), or electricity for 6-8 weeks (Mine was out 27 days), and still then it blinked off and on for another week to 10 days. Then 6 weeks later we got hit again.
As someone who works in the HVAC industry, I would say, do not do home warranty, 1st issue is most very reputable companies will not work with them, because home warranty companies don't pay enough for them to spend the time on home warranty calls. 2nd issue is I've seen parts and equipment orders placed under home warranty accounts sit for 3 or 4 weeks before being picked up. And lastly they will only pay for the parts or equipment, they don't pay for a new plenum, drain pans etc.

And guess where the electricity that is being generated from this is going? Not Louisiana, its going to be sent to Texas

Being in the industry, all HVAC manufacturers, have
had 12-18% price increases since the beginning of the year, and more are coming. This is the result of the ever increasing cost of materials to manufacture the equipment and freight cost. R410a jumped from around $175 a drum to $315 a drum last week alone.

The Mob Museum is really cool, although not sure if it's open or not with all the restrictions in place

Possible Frozen Pipe?

Every faucet in house is working except the cold water side in 2nd bathroom sink, hot water side is fine, toilet refills normally and bath flows normally. What's your take? Was working earlier

I have a 2020 4x4 with the off road package, 14-15mpg in town, although I do like to hear that Hemi growl! 17-18 running 70-75mph, 19-20 if running 60-65 on highway. I average about 125-150 miles per week.

Don't know about internet, but at&t cell service is having issues around Lake Charles. Can't make or receive calls, even to or from non at&t phones, same issues trying to call landline phones.

Damaged House Purchase

Posted by ktfsh71 on 9/21/20 at 7:16 pm
I had signed a contract to purchase a house (was a spec w/some custom finishes) in Lake Charles, closing was scheduled for Oct 13th. The house was damaged (shingles off, both front doors blown open, wind driven rain in entries, water damage in garage, roof vents blown off). I really don't want to purchase a house that I've never spent a night in, before it had to be repaired. What are my chances that the contractor will either, let me out of the contract and get my deposit back (and eating the overages on the custom items) or them just building the same house on a new lot in the same subdivision?
Heard the same thing, from a law enforcement person. JBE said they weren't welcome because they weren't Covid compliant.

You must be out of the loop! Plus there are pictures from this morning at the Sabine River I10 bridge, of the checkpoint.

*West Louisiana Traffic Advisory***
April 5, 2020

Beginning Sunday, April 5, 2020, motorists are urged to exercise caution and remain alert for traffic congestion when traveling west into Texas from Louisiana roadways.

Checkpoints and screening of vehicles leaving Louisiana related to the COVID-19 pandemic may result in traffic backups in westbound lanes of travel. The screening of vehicles applies to all roadways crossing the LA/TX border including interstates.

Commercial motor vehicle traffic will not be obstructed.

For information related to the Texas checkpoints and complying with the Executive Order, please call Texas DPS at (844) 986-1093

Texas DPS

I know this has been mentioned before, but Texas DPS as of this morning, is doing non-commercial vehicle screening at the state line on I10 in Orange. It's taking about 45-60min even with proper paperwork. This is coming from LSP Troop D facebook posts.
HVAC workers, ain't nobody going to be stuck at home in a hot house!
