Drowning people are nothing to mess with.

Never go rescue someone without some sort of board or flotation device. A drowning person will drown your arse trying to save themselves.

Awful. The ocean is nothing to frick with and narcissistic inexperienced people put others in danger all the time. Those people that directly caused this hero to die will have to live with this forever. Sadly they’re so self centered they probably won’t care.

So true. Stay away if you don't have a lifesaving device. Either one or both of you will die.

An officer in Massachusetts drowned yesterday trying to rescue a kid in a pond. The kid also died.

I got to meet Bill and his partner Sydney while they were stationed in Ft Morgan during Covid and that continued into summer. He was a great guy and was always looking out for us. Sad sad news out of Baldwin County tonight.

We watched the shite go down. fricking terrible. They just trained those deputies in water rescue recently. We saw the deputy who died come hauling arse to the beach in a pickup, followed by numerous fire and rescue vehicles.

The survivors are going to have major guilt. We saw them go out and were like, wtf are those people doing going out in this shite? Now we know.

RIP. No way to go.

Just couldn’t have the double red flags ruin their precious little vacation. Now they’ve killed a guy. At least their vacation isn’t ruined though.

When they went out to rescue, did the officer remove clothing?
It's almost impossible to swim with long pants on. People don't realize this until it's too late.

Damn. We left Ft Morgan Saturday and I talked to Smith for a short time at the marina next to Tacky Jack's one day last week. He seemed like a great guy. Sucks for his family.

People are so fricking stupid. If the flag is red and you go in anyway, sorry but you should forfeit your right to be rescued. Dumbasses are dying and killing rescuers every year.

I won't even go in on yellow flag. shite even blue or whatever color it is for best conditions I'll maybe go waist deep and then spend the entire time yelling at my kids to get closer to shore. I have to get a little drunk to relax at the beach. Otherwise all I worry about is riptide or sharks Not too drunk, just a buzz.

Waist deep to pee, that's it for me.
