I’ve owned a Toyota Tundra, Toyota Camry, and Honda’s my whole life. Only problems I had were air conditioner problems in the Tundra at 10 years/210,000 miles.

Thank you for your service.

Like I said, we’ve called several dealers. We picked it back up from Hollingsworth after it sat there for 2 days and they were still saying they didn’t know when they’d be able to get to it.

Did they volunteer why they are so backed up?

Toyota's have higher reliability rates because they don't use new tech in their vehicles like other brands. They also run vehicle designs FOREVER. It isn't like other brands are shitting the bed, sure other brands have slightly higher repair incidents, but it is slight and usually have much more modern features years before Toyota gets them. Most brands would have slapped a modern transmission in the Tundra by now...

You say this like it’s a bad thing.

Trade it in for an Explorer or something. 90% of you people driving around in pickup trucks don't actually need one anyway.

Loaners are generally new cars they put into rental service at a lot of dealers. With inventory so low they probably sold them.

Is the outside temperature showing on the media touchscreen? My A/C quit blowing cold because the outside temp sensor wasn't working properly. The sensor is located in the passenger side mirror housing. Once replaced, the outside temperature appeared again and my a/c blows cold.

No loaners with the car shortage. I don’t understand why we have to park it there for days before they can look at it, and they can’t give us any idea when they’ll get to it, so we’re just supposed to leave it indefinitely.

Just start yelling until they give you one. Make them uncomfortable

Doesn’t matter if the OP figures out the problem. Ford won’t replace the part under warranty until their technicians diagnose it. And they are apparently backed up.

I would let them keep it a week since its warranty work. what if they were going to look at it on day 3, which is probably likely.

I just got rid of a 2013 F-150 that I replaced every part in the A/C except the condenser, starting at around 11,000 miles. All warranty repairs except some random hoses. A couple of times, they kept it for over a week, once for 10 days- no communication from the tech, no returned phone calls, no loaners.... THE WORST. Sold it and couldn't be happier with my decision.
