And this is why we don’t buy Ford products.

We’ll it’s not built by Ford, so that’s plausible. Pretty common in GM full sizers actually.

They didn't offer a loaner? I know Jim Taylor does.

Maybe now. But I know a month or two ago, all the rental agencies that sold off their fleet last year were buying everything they can get their hands on in April 2021. They were buying used cars to have vehicles to rent.

They cut too deep and figured it out the hard way.

Too many broken down late model F-150s. Not enough loaners.

Toyota's have higher reliability rates because they don't use new tech in their vehicles like other brands.

New tech like air conditioning?

Air conditioning
Transmissions
Engines
Weather stripping
Corrosion protection
Oil pumps
Fuel injectors

All brand new voodoo technology that Ford is pioneering right now. That’s why they have so many problems with it when other automakers don’t.

Why not just trade it in for something on the lot that is similar? Let them worry about fixing the AC if its really under warranty, they will get reimbursed.

We waited 3 weeks for an appointment with the dealer

Why?

There are a lot of ford dealers.

Go to a different one.

I had my ford in to replace the rear shocks last month under warranty, also had a recall to address.

Called Hollingsworth Richards Ford, dropped it off the next day, had it back the day after.

I would trade it in if I were you, seems crazy but they are desperate for used vehicles and I bet they would still give you a heck of a deal. I get a call once or twice a week from the dealership to buy my truck since inventory is so low.

Also, wtf is going on that every Ford service station is backed up by weeks?

I think they all suck. They treat you like shi* and don't care. All-American Ford wanted $99 just to 'look' a my brakes that were grinding intermittently and between '$100-$150' to do a synthetic oil change (you would think they would know the price).

A lot of people weren’t commuting last year. So mileage is low.
