Iberville will push for it way the hell down at Bayou Goula. Better than nothing, but way too far south to help the traffic congestion in Baton Rouge.
Well then, looks like they've found the perfect spot to put it then. Where else would the great government of LA put it?

It would have been nice to have a comprehensive regional plan before committing over a Billion dollars to EBR parish projects that may or may not mesh with the eventual plan.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss how to distribute funding for the bridge among meeting attendees and other mandatory political figures without getting caught.

I think a bridge that crosses around Carville or St. Gabriel would be perfect. Right in between the Sunshine Bridge and the BR bridge

Carville is too far south IMO. St. Gabriel might be okay:

Still not as good as Plaquemine Point though.

that crossing is better. you arent going straight through a residential area on either side

For that one, the bridge has to be oriented back south again. It makes for an extra-long route especially since it's very unlikely that they'll be able to route anything through the swamp near Spanish Lake.

It's also farther from the bulk of the population, although I could see why Plaquemine politicians would want it that way.

By 2040 they'll have wrapped up the feasibility and Environmental Impact Studies conducted by the committee chairs cousin. A yes recommendation will be passed on the DOTD budget panel where they'll discuss means for funding it. Construction should start by 2050.

This guarantees that the new new bridge will be completed sometime in this Century.

Thats a good graphic. I think the route they are going to take is either just north or just south of Addis. Connect it to River Road, then to Nicholson.

I'm sure L'auberge won't mind being right off a highway like that, but the loop will have to go around them. I will expect alot of fighting from UClub, Pointe-Marie and Lexington Estates residents.

Just build a toll road that connects I-10 to the old bridge and renovate the old bridge to modern standards.

I don't know much of anything, but there's a reason L'Auberge Casino located where they did.

And chances are good that the main road will wrap around behind Brusly and Addis before heading to the New, new bridge.

That does nothing to improve vehicles going from West of BR to Nola and not entirely much for vehicles going east to I12. I don't see how that would speed things up
