You really think this was a setup where one innocent person gets killed and two others in critical condition… I hardly think so. And I don’t have a dog in this election.

Republicans will probably frick this up by running with it being an inside job that the SS/DHS intentionally tried to kill trump.

You think the US government hasn’t killed innocent people before in order to take out their primary target?
And, if it actually is something more nefarious, then do you really think they’d give a frick if innocent lives were lost, when their target is an ex-President???
I don’t believe morality would come into play in that scenario.

I think the party will allow Trump to set the narrative here.
Smart play would be to basically say "I told you so" with regards to the Left being after him but keep it to generalities instead of falling into the trap of personal attacks.

Agree. He can definitely paint it like "they" are trying to get him and they already failed once.
But we have multiple GOP legislators explicitly stating this was an inside job at the hands of the biden admin.

The goal wouldn't have been to kill innocent people. It would've been to kill Trump but by sheer luck it didn't kill him but unfortunately killed someone else.
I just don't understand how 1. That group of buildings didn't have snipers in the first place or how that wasn't inside the security perimeter. 2. How does a mobile ladder get leaned up against the building allowing access to the roof and go unnoticed whether it was the shooter walking with it there or previously putting it there. Surely any access point to a roof that close to where Trump was speaking should've been moved if mobile or guarded if not.
And again 3. Why was Trump not pulled from the stage when clearly a potential threat was recognized before shots were ever fired?

I would hope they would not take out innocent people to get what they want… makes me pretty sick to be honest. But I’m sure it has happened.

They will fall in line with whatever narrative Trump sets this week. Hopefully he doesn't go down that path. There's nothing to gain there.
1. A certain percentage of the population will immediately dismiss you as a lunatic, regardless of evidence
2. Even if it was "allowed" to happen, you can't do anything about those people until you're in office
3. Honestly, if there is some mass conspiracy to kill Trump, we're too far gone no matter what.
I'm betting it was incompetence more than anything.

Not saying I necessarily believe it but it makes pretty good sense if you think about it from a “covering your tracks” standpoint. You have a few people in the USSS or FBI that either are aware of the threat and/or encourage it to happen (as the FBI has been known to do). Let him take the shot then let the sniper teams do their thing. The investigation gets turned over to the FBI and they cover up their tracks internally. It’s not that outlandish.

If the government wanted to kill him he would have been dead long before now imo. And they wouldn’t have used that kid or done it at that venue. That doesn’t make sense.
Look at how many times he’s wide open on a golf course lumbering around. Easy pickins.
They’re going to take a tragedy of a man dead and 2 people seriously injured and make it a political circus as usual.
This is the best thing that could have happened for trump and the worst for Biden. That’s one of the biggest reasons trump isn’t in jail, it would just boost his popularity.
Politics suck.
