That's a team that was 14-20 last year and 3-29 the year before that. DePaul is a terrible basketball team.

My point is LSU was only about a 5 or 6 point favorite. DePaul may not be good but they arent Alcorn or Mississippi Valley bad. So to see LSU win that game by 30+ was encouraging.
I was surprised to see them beat DePaul by 30 yesterday. DePaul isnt some great team but they arent terrible either.

But with that being said I've been fooled by the soft pre conference schedule before thinking we were better than we really were so im not believing they are any good until they win some conference games.
On LSU's end im sure they are fine with that as long as the contract is signed so that LSU can tell recruits and he cant back out and leave LSU with no coach and all the candidates have gone elsewhere.

On the Ole Miss side they can let him finish the season sure while they look for another coach. The problem on their end with that is they would then have a coach from a rival school coaching their team and in the building actively able to recruit them to LSU.

I think he really loves Ole Miss.

I dont know that its this as much as he loves his team and wants to finish the season with them. The good think is originally it seemed like he would be bashed in the media like crazy for leaving his team. But now it seems more like they are putting in on Ole Miss for not letting him. They understand LSU is a much better job and its hard to bash someone for wanting to take a better job.

He 100% knows and its that hes coming to LSU. But he also knows Lane wants to finish coaching his team so hes lobbying that he should be allowed to.

This motherfricker just needs to go the frick away man. Dude is a complete jackass.
Its not lack of execution. Its the trash scheme. Someone posted the passing chart and we only attempted 3 passes to the middle of the field and only 1 pass over 20 yards the entire game.

We throw more 25+ yard passes to pick up 4-6 yards than any team I've ever seen. Its just stupid when you can throw it 10-15 yards over the middle to pick up 10-20+ yards.

And if Nuss is limited on deep balls and thats the reason we dont attempt them then one he shouldn't be playing but two thats still no reason to not use the middle of the field. When we attempt 28 passes and 25 of them are outside the hashes it becomes pretty easy to defend and pretty easy for other teams to gameplan against us.

Oh and 1 of our 3 passes over the middle went for a touchdown. So yeah let's never go back to it.
Yeah he was elevated to keep him around to keep Underwood. While having him would've been nice these days you can't make a decision that hurts the entire program based off getting one kid.

Kids are way too wishy washy these days and are going to follow the money. Should've given the job to a competent coordinator and if it lost Underwood so be it we would find someone else in the portal for next season which is what we're going to have to do now anyway.

He is not good against Top 25 teams and especially on the road. 12-25 record vs Top 25 teams.

Yeah with Ole Miss. If he was our head coach we absolutely beat vanderbilt today. Even with the same shitty defensive performance it wouldnt have mattered because we would've scored 40+.

I mean shite we put up 24 with Sloans garbage "scheme".

Lane is not coming to LSU.

People keep saying this. Give me a reason why he wouldn't. What has he been able to win at Ole Miss? Nothing.

But not because hes not a good coach. Hes already the 3rd winningest coach in their history. Its because its Ole fricking Miss. They dont have the same resources LSU does and arent the brand LSU is. I think he would absolutely come here and would crush it if he did.

Kiffin isn’t coming here. Be realistic

I dont understand why people keep saying this. Hes at Ole freaking Miss! You really think he wouldnt come to LSU over Ole Miss. Hes been one of the best coaches they have ever had but still hasn't been able to win shite with them.

He could come here and have LSU in the playoffs every year.
Well we will almost assuredly get the ball first regardless of who wins the toss so thats a plus.

The problem is we haven't scored on an opening possession all year so getting the ball first likely won't matter. I'd like to think we will get 3 first quarter points but I just cant trust Sloan to come out with a good game plan.

Penn St was undefeated and top 3 in the country 3 weeks ago. 3 games later coach fired.

Enjoyed watching Texas rape him after he said they couldn't stop him

He had over 280 yards of total offense in that game. Texas didnt stop shite

The only real opportunity to gain notoriety in the OOC schedule is the game vs. Texas Tech.

The OOC schedule certainly isn't good but Drake, SMU, and Georgia Tech were all postseason teams last season.

People saying we will be fooled into thinking the team is good beating up weak OOC teams. It wouldnt surprise me if they go 0-4 against the 3 I mentioned and Texas Tech so I dont think we will have to worry about being fooled by them.

They have covered 3 out of 5 games?????

quote:

I don’t believe that’s true

You dont have to believe it but it is true. Covered Clemson and Florida. Didn't cover Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. Southeastern is the only one that could've gone both ways depending what number you got but they covered the opening number. And I dont think it got to a number they didnt cover till either the day before the game or day of. So anyone who got their bets in during the week won.

I think averaging 4 touchdowns a minute isn’t too much to ask. That would be 240 points,

Yeah? Games are only 8 minutes now I see

To answer the OP's question I would say 38 minimum. But it also depends on the efficiency. If the defense gets 7-14 of those points and the offense has multiple 3 and outs and and cant convert 3rd downs then that wouldnt even be good.
I just dont understand the logic between having a great defense and having to be conservative on offense. I can understand punting in situations where you would maybe go for it like what Kelly said happened in the Florida game but theres no reason to not be aggressive and try to score every possession.

Eventually there's going to be games where the other team scores on us and we are going go need to score in the 30's to win. We cant just all of a sudden flip the switch and do things on offense we haven't done all year so we need to start doing it now.

Always fade the public.

This is generally true but the public betting is not what has dropped this line down as much as it has dropped since opening this early in the week.

The sharps are the ones that jump all over lines the second they come out and move them. Majority of public betting happens the day of the game.

If I was a betting man, I'd take the under and bet the farm.

Yeah Florida +9.5 and the under both seem like great plays. Florida isnt going to roll over and I think this line would've been a good 3 or 4 points lower had they beaten USF so it seems like a big overreaction to one game.
