I seriously doubt Trump is the only politician to ever "falsify business documents". That's probably a requirement to be a politician in this country.

Another strike against the inside job CT is that this is easily the most filmed assassination attempt in history. We get a new angle that reveals something new every hour. We'll probably get even more footage over the next 7-10 days.

Many Americans just cannot imagine the idea that something like this is pure incompetence. This is true for many "conspiracy" foundations.
What's it about stupidity or malice? Do not attribute to malice what is more easily explained by stupidity?
We give our political machine too much credit. Most people say politics is more like Veep than West Wing.

Like the man or not, he's a marketing genius and he is operating on a whole other level than your average presidential candidate.
Hillary probably beats him in 2016 without the email scandal. Instead of following that same model, they tried to bury him and that NEVER works.
With all the concerns about Biden's lack of capabilities, this couldn't have happened at a worse time (unless it was a month before the election).
I can't see them running Biden at this point.
Plot twist - the Dems will now kill Biden and blame it on the Right as an act of revenge .

Which is nuts, if you really think about it.
No government anywhere has ever been known for its competence, now you take that and mold it into a society that celebrates sexual orientation, race, etc as achievements, instead of actual merit, and that's a disaster on its own.
If the local police were responsible for this area, think about that. Likely some small town yokels making $40k-50k who have never even fired their guns at anyone. I'm not demeaning law enforcement in this country but it's no secret that the quality of the average police officer has rapidly declined over the past decade or so.
Add all of this into very few actual Secret Service agents being on site, supplemented by DHS temps, and it all adds up to a cluster.

True, but there's already tons of videos and pictures available now and none of them change the fact that some random kid was able to get shots off on the president (thankfully he wasn't skilled, or lucky enough, to pull it off). Like others have said, whether it was a setup or gross incompetence is a lose-lose situation regardless and I'm not sure which is worse.

If I'm Trump, I may even throw in some talking points about how I may have disagreed with my political opponents but they were always protected on my watch because that's the strength of our democracy.
