No expropriation for CCS.

The carbon induced/greenhouse gas global warming is a 100% complete scam. Look at historical carbon levels, emissions from just volcanos and the fact that our atmosphere is a closed system.

It was good while it lasted for people who bought up large tracts of land.

As long as the federal government is handing out tax credits to companies who sequester CO2, it's still going to be an industry. Kill the 45Q tax credit and you kill the sequestration industry in the US because there's no profit otherwise.

The O&G brokerage I work for had a project in California that we were leasing for a while. I was pretty sure that Carbon Capture was going to be that thing in 10 years that everyone would say ‘I can’t believe we spent money on that.’
Guess it’s happening faster than 10 years

Actually, ironically enough.....
China. China is planting millions of trees and shrinking the Gobi Desert. The CO2 absorption is unintentional but a plus.

Blue or Green facilities are all BS. In the end the ones getting screwed are the taxpayers. Government subsidized theft. Wages were juiced due to IRA and prevailing wages plus required apprenticeship programs. Forcing open shop labor to cost more than union labor.

Carbon capture is a great idea if CO2 levels in the atmosphere is truly a problem. That's the part that's questionable.

Remember when Air Products were going to inject CO2 under Lake Maurepas?
While I understand Air Products's thinking in choosing Maurepas, only one landowner (and it's the State) to have to secure a pore space injection agreement from, it was always a disastrous choice politically. Especially so when very few people were actually familiar with the process, and there were no other current Class VI storage projects in the state, and only one in the entire country.

The fact that people think a couple small operations like that on a planet the size of earth will make a difference in our climate is absolutely laughable. And yet there are people still pushing them with my money.
