I certainly don’t blame him for feeling how he did, at all, and I guess if no one else was going to run against the sheriff, I can see why he would.

I’d still be wary about a vigilante running the police though. This sounds like one of those feel good stories that no one wants to be a curmudgeon about at the time but could end up going poorly. Hope it works out for them

It doesn’t sound like a jury in that jurisdiction will ever convict him. Trump has 30+ felonies and is ruling the free world without issue. They will find a way to keep this hero in.

I don’t know how the guy got out on bail for a rape of a child. I agree the kid’s life was in danger. Besides him being a child rapist she was a witness to his earlier crime against her.

I don’t care if the dad emptied his gun on the rapist and then pistol whipped the guy or body on the ground at that point. If the guy truly raped his daughter which it seems like he did I don’t care if he exaggerated the immediate danger. The guy was just going to keep coming after the girl as long as he was locked or put down. The local criminal justice system was doing its job.

He then called 911 and reported that his daughter's kidnapper was 'dead on the side of the road,' saying he had 'no choice' but to shoot him.

Prosecutors initially charged Spencer with first-degree murder, but the charge was later reduced to second-degree murder.
