This. That's what it really is. There are usually inherent advantages (however small) to being a member of the majority racial demographic, regardless of the particular society throughout history. Not really a new phenomenon.

By the same token, however, I'm not going to sit here as a black man and wring my hands, because I have the opportunity in this country to render my lack of majority privilege to a negligible component holding me back from success. That alone isn't the harbinger of success or the sealer of one's fate--it's a circumstance that can (rather easily) be overcome.

I don't know any liberal who won't concede that Hillary is corrupt. The ONLY time you'll hear someone argue otherwise is when they're paid to do so.

The Internet is the best place to argue with people. It gives you practice for the real world, not that I spend much time arguing with people in either place.

Just say "it's fricking great" and exit the conversation.

JMO. White privilege exists in the same way that certain types of privilege exist for people that are more attractive, born more wealthy, born women (note education data over the last 20 years, esp high school and college graduation among other things), born in the United States instead of Somalia or some other thing.

But the thing I find annoying is how myopic most of the people stuck on white privilege are. We live in the best time of human history period. Our medical and educational opportunities are astonishingly better than what our great grandparents could have imagined.

For anyone in our country (assuming you were not born seriously handicapped and are not currently wrongfully imprisoned) to view themselves as actually disadvantaged misses almost any understanding of human history or the status of most humans in the world today.

Never had opp to discuss my white priv with anyone other than LSU saints hornets.
