One of the reasons why I really don't support BLM or constantly use the "white privilege" excuse is that I'm tired of hearing how oppressed I am due to the color of my skin. Have I faced racial injustices in the past? Yes. Will I continue to face it in my lifetime? More than likely. However I'm not going to let anyone (black or white) tell me how much I'm worth in this country.

Black people have had the shite end of the stick for centuries, and will probably continue For the foreseeable future. However there have been thousands of successful AA throughout the entire history of the USA, from the free blacks and Creoles in New Orleans and across the south in the 1800's who even owned slaves, to the successful black owners and entrepreneurs during the Harlem Rennisance during the height of Jim Crow, to all the Black Millionaires who live in cities like Atlanta and Los Angeles today.

Now dos these people face hardship and discrimination? Absolutely, but they were able to power through all of this seemingly insurmountable adversity and actually made a name for themselves, oftentimes after starting from nothing, and some were even slaves themselves.

So if all of these people could live a successful life despite living in one of the darkest periods of American history, then I sure as shite can, as can any black person in America (many already have). Will we face adversity and blantent injustice? Yes, just like we would in any country in the world. But if you didn't have to deal with adversity then everyone would be rich.

In America there is a Social Privilege

Those in the top % are allowed to do and get away with much more than the middle and poor can.

The Stanford swimmer is the perfect example, as well as the Kid in Texas.

It's not cause he's White, it's because his parents have cash, went to Stanford, and this judge also has cash and went to Stanford. They do like to take care of their own.

OJ Simpson knows all about social privileges, it enabled him to get away with Murder. He was able to pay for the dream team.

People equate it to Skin color, and it's about $$$$, not skin color. You have the cash, you have power(muscle), and when needed, you can flex it to get out of, or get what u want.

I knew kids who were arrested on same offense, in same car, and 1 got Years of probation, other got a hand shake from DA and his father passed a check for court costs. Both White, one middle class, other, his parents had cash.

Same DA, 2 different out comes when it was time for a deal. Kid who was middle, told me, a fine was never going to happen, he was doing a month or years of probation and community service.
