I would but I've got to be in court because yet another young black man killed a different young black man.
And wuddya know, when the cops arrested him, they didn't kill him.

Lol, the system basically crashed in 2008. That didn't work out too good for the poor and middle class.
If anything they're better off if the "system" is running full bore, then they're more likely to get easy loans, credit, etc. and keep funding lifestyles they can't really afford.
Cut that off and what do they have left? A few bucks in cash?

By "collapsing" the system, what do they think they will accomplish, exactly?
Besides, they won't be able to. The banks have plans for this, and it's hilarious.
First, they turn off all ATM machines - preventive maintenance, you know. Then they shut down all telebanking and online banking websites - again, it's a good day for maintenance.
They bring all their employees into the back, and keep one teller window open. No drive thru, either.
They then institute enhanced documentation requirements - check your photo ID.
Then they will give you all the money you ask for... but only in small bills.
While this is happening, they call the people at places like Loomis and the armored trucks show up with cash. They don't unload the cash in the safe, though... they just stack it up behind the counter in large stacks - all to show that there is plenty enough money.
Eventually people get frustrated and go home.
I'm more worried about the riots tomorrow afternoon if those fools try to attack the Andrew Jackson statue.

Banks aren't required to immediately give account balances out on the spot.
The shutdown thing doesn't seem to be targeting the banks anyway other than this one guy's comments. They're just going to "stay home and not spend" on Monday. Nobody will even really take notice unless NFL athletes participate, which isn't going to happen

It's no secret that many black people don't trust banks and don't keep and money in the bank IF they have an account. This will be a gigantic flop.

So blacks will all be carrying around cash (some more, mostly less) on Monday?
I'm sure that will not affect black on black crime in the slightest.

Top reason why this won't work: No school
Parents don't want to have to babysit their kid all day when they can put them off on someone else & they aren't going to give up that free breakfast & lunch the school systems provides

No school. No Spending. No work.
So, a typical day in the hood.

I wonder if Randall is going to withdraw both of his dollars...???
"Oh and by the way Mr. Randall, once we deduct the monthly checking account fee for NOT maintaining the minimum balance requirement...you owe the bank $24"

frick, I work in IT. What has IT ever done to these folk? Thought I was insulated from all this garbage. You know, being educated and living in high burbs and all.

I don't understand what the expected accomplishment of this is?

What are they gonna do withdraw everything from their mattress?
Those people don't have bank accounts.
I'll be at work because they sure in the hell won't be there.
