Are cable installers, alarm guys, carpet cleaners, cleaning services, various Insurance guys, interior renovation guys etc still working? I don’t think I’ve seen any trucks in the neighborhood for anything. I get calling the plumber or something for an emergency but pretty much everything RESIDENTIAL that can wait, is on hold, right? What are you guys seeing?

We are servicing hvac, electrical and appliances unless the homeowner doesn’t want the service or the technician is feeling bad etc.

I didn’t before. I’ve seen the documentaries on the internet and I don’t need that drama in my wife

Looking to refinance the house while rates are down. Emailed my current mortgage provider and requested a quote. Dude told me they can't do anything because they can't get walk through appraisals.

Buddy of mine is an appraiser and said he is working his arse off. Guess I'm going to have to change mortgage companies.

My housekeeper is here now. She did wash her hands as soon as she got here, and she's wearing gloves and a mask.

You missed what the lender is saying.

A lot of appraisers have indeed stopped going into houses. Your buddy is busy because he is one of the ones who have kept working. Closings and refinances are delayed waiting on the few appraisers working to work through the glut.

You can still get an appraisal, it just may take longer than it usually would.

The board on my AC unit went out and you better believe I let the guy come in and replace it.

House cleaner is coming today... I won't be home though. Apparently they are considered essential and I'm not going to complain.

We cancelled our house cleaners but still paid them. Only service we are currently having is some dudes are outside installing a playset for my toddler. I plan on wiping that puppy down after they leave.

Isn't that standard practice when entering a Bama fan's home??

I'd go the lazy route and just not use it for a week or two

The plumbers were here last Friday to replace the water heater and furniture was delivered on Sunday. We just moved in, it's inevitable to have service people come in.
