No Christmas bonus. We sometimes get random gifts that I re-gift. iPad one year, Beatz another year. Annual performance bonus in early March is the critical one

We get ours in March, but it sure would be nice to have a few extra duckets for the holidays.

Got mine last week. They included it in our regular paychecks so they took out more taxes

We get quarterly bonuses using the Great Game of Business or something like that. Used to just get one large one at the end of the fiscal year.

Damn sounds like 90% of the tOT are getting bonuses this year.

We are getting ours next week. Will be our 2nd bonus this year. Got one in June too.

I work for the Lottery ticket purchasing consortium, so I really hope I do. If it happens, it will likely be either that, or I will get bit on the butt by a four headed Indian Cobra while seated on the pot at 3:15 in the morning.

Personally, I'm hoping for the lottery win and tonight would be fine, since I have the rest of the week available for looking at lakeside housing on Bull Shoals Reservoir.

What a shite take. I can tell that you've never owned or ran a business before. Unless your contract/offer letter indicated that 10-15% as a guarantee, it absolutely is a bonus.

Youd be wrong. I have ran a couple of businesses for other people and I ran my own business for 14 years...and more to the point I have worked for a living for 44 years. Never one time was I ever paid a penny I did not earn and I never once paid an employee a penny they did not earn. I am sorry if your employer pays you more than you have earned, that's awful nice of them. I wouldn't take it but that's just me, I don't go around taking hand outs.

No employer should ever pay anyone anything they did not earn and no employee should accept nor expect anything they have not earned. That would be akin to buying a poung of ground beef at Kroger and paying them more than they were asking for it because they deserved it somehow...

We are told that we should be thankful for having a job... that is our bonus.

I wish they would give us a Honeybaked ham, those things are good!

Will receive a little extra income this week and somewhere around 10-15% of base income in February. They call it a bonus, I call it my fricking salary because it is earned like every other penny. They ain't giving away anything and I wouldn't take it if they did. Employers LOVE to pretend as if they are tossing their employees a bone...they ain't...every penny is earned.

interesting take.

I will tell you that my company would rather pay you during the year than having to wait for a bonus at the end of the year. we do pay a slightly above average base salary to our salesmen. we also tie our year end bonuses to net profit. a certain % of NP is divided up between all employees. just so happens that we made 5 new hires this year that are not yet paying for themselves. so no bonus this year.

however, all 4 of the "old" salesmen have reached their individual sales goals, so all of us will be paid substantial bonuses at the beginning of next year.

Probably not, I was promoted to management in August and we have to be in our current position for 6 months to qualify for bonuses...

Got mine this morning. It's enough to pay for the kids gifts and some other items. I'm appreciative of it.
