Are you being affected?

Didn’t think I would be affected but now I have employees that are positive and one is on a ventilator. Yes there are some underlying conditions. Still give a lot if shits about him.
I have a few employees that are working some extended time offshore. Definitely making a lot of money. They are single and are not complaining
I still believe there is too much overreaction but are the question s are you or someone you know being affected? Maybe your business or someone you know business.
Let’s hear it.

I don't have anyone I know close that is currently struggling with the virus. I knew 2 positives, but neither had any problems.
Other than myself working from home, the only way I'm truly affected is my wife's store really struggling and not sure if they will be able to reopen after this.
The store was already struggling before this started, so this just might be the final nail.

It's hard for me to even say if it's overreaction honestly. None of my immediate family has contracted C19 but that came with set rules we had to follow well over a month ago. My daughter and 200 other kids were all over the world for 3 weeks. She was in France. She flew home and was isolated for 2 weeks. We all just did the same basically to try our best to keep the olds in the family well. Just lucky I think. I have acquaintances who have seen different outcomes, though. It sounds like a hell on earth sickness if you get it but it's survivable of course. IDK. Better safe than sorry?

Found out today that my boss probably has it. The one day I went into the office in the last 3 weeks was last Friday when he started having symptoms. So I'm on 2 week lock down as of today

I have several acquaintances that have had it, noone close though.
Won my first huge contract as a business owner that was scheduled to start now. Of course it is being pushed, hopefully just a month or two. We had geared up already with leasing an office and whatnot but thankfully I had enough cash that I'll be able to push through a few more months without any issues. PPP loan was approved yesterday, just waiting on those funds now.
I've been able to spend extremely valuable time with my wife and daughter over the last several weeks.
I've enjoyed it actually, but its about time to get back to work.

Wife runs our small biz. Which is a single member LLC and her income source for our family.
We’re projecting $20-$30k less income if this is all lifted by July. Double that if it’s the rest of the year.
If this continues until the Fall I’ll likely
be unemployed from my W2 job.

I'm saving money by not having to tip 20% at restaurants but that's about it.

One of my students' mom died from cv. She was a nurse from NOLA. Wonderful woman.
A good friend from Minden lost her uncle.
I have 2 coworkers who have had it but have recovered.
I work online, so my job has not been affected.
Other than that, I have only been affected in ways like everyone else: restaurants, bars, yadda yadda.
