Hire them back when you can. I know it sucks to do but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm sure they'll appreciate a call back when things are back to "normal".

Did you apply for PPP?

I haven’t. My accountant wants to meet with me next week to discuss the various programs that are available. I don’t know if my pride will let me take something I don’t really need though. We’ll see, I guess

PPP is free money to make payroll for a couple of months. I wouldn't wait long. It's going to be spent whether you use it or not.

mom has it. luckily its manifesting in her digestive tract and not her lungs so she has only really dealt with a killer fever for the past few days. she went to the hospital yesterday and was really dehydrated. so they gave her an IV and she seems to be doing a lot better. not out of the woods but encouraging. shes gonna be there through the weekend but thats more for monitoring i think

dad doesnt have any symptoms, but hed legit be someone who would be at risk for this so he got tested when she got her confirmation on wednesday. hoping his comes back negative but if its positive, he will get to dealing with it before he becomes symptomatic which is encouraging

im assuming i have it but im not getting tested unless i show symptoms. very likely i will be asymptomatic so im just trying to stay inside for the next 14 days which isnt fun but oh well. is what it is

Does it have to be paid back? Just curious -- and how is this getting paid for? Printers printing money are burning up I guess?

thanks man. ultimately im not too worried about her cause, like i said, we are being told its not in her lungs and she doesnt have any pneumonia like symptoms so it seems like shes gonna be fine. she just was really sick before she got her IV, and its hard not too worry a little about someone having an infectious disease regardless

more worried about my dad. if he gets this and hits him like others, theres a legit chance hed be in trouble

Not if used for payroll (or up to 25% for other allowed expenses) and you don't reduce your staff.

Hope your mom starts getting better quickly and hope your dad is negative. I'm trying to stay away from other people because I'm with my parents daily.

My wife is working from home. I work as much as I can. Sometimes we have work to do, sometimes we don’t. Luckily, the owner is giving us two extra weeks of PTO. So, if we decide to take a day off or go home early, I’m covered. She has an uncle who tested positive, but he’s doing fine. Most of his symptoms have gone away. Besides that, no one I know is sick.
