All the little fatasses in my neighborhood are either playing video games, riding electric scooters, or golf carts.

Fatness epidemic.

This or some motorized scooter of some sort. Anything to avoid actual physical activity.

remember when I got a GT Vertigo, loved that bike.

1998 splash green under my Christmas tree with the lights twinkling off of it at 4 am looked sick

There is a BMX track in Gretna, in the 10 years I have been on the Westbank i can count the number of times I've seen it ridden on using no fingers, it stays vacant and covered with tarps

generic mongoose bikes sold at walmart. Not like the mongoose of the past.

Just like many other things quality has gotten worse from what was around in the late 80s to early 90s.

Had a Schwinn scrambler 36/36. Don’t know how they compared to the redline and dynos, but that’s what most of my friends had where I grew up.

I had a cheap Huffy BMX bike from Walmart. It would have been around 1985. The prices on some of the vintage bikes is insane.

Actually would ride the weekly bmx competitions at kenilworth.

Loved riding that track.

Started looking into doing legit races and realized it’s not a small endeavor. Cause you basically have to bring several bikes, tons of parts, special clothing, etc.

I may be wrong, but I think the quality of those BMX bikes aren't what they used to be. Many of the brands that were only sold in specialty bike shops are in Wal-Mart now.

I don’t know much about them but I saw a few in a bike shop in Montana in the $15k range.
