Look, I’m not trying to offend anyone because I genuinely don’t know, but I assume most of DeRidder’s population is retarded. Just a dim, collective of very low IQ people. That a safe assumption you think?

Yeah but she's going to pay the "trial tax" if found guilty. It's the norm for courts to hand out much, much heftier sentences than wha's offered for pre-trial plea bargains.

The defense and state acknowledged shortcomings on the part of the lead investigator who testified at a preliminary hearing that due to a programming mishap some evidence and audio recordings were accidentally deleted. Yikes!
