I'm no church regular but Ive always been repulsed by that and have never taken a sip. The thought of drinking backwash of spit and pieces of wafer is truly disgusting. Wiping off the rim with a rag doesn't do much. Then to top it off the priest knocks back any leftover wine to empty the chalice. Nasty

SO basically what you're saying is you think organized religion is stupid and out dated. People simple make their own lot in life with out the help of a fictitious man living up in the clouds to guide their way. Only to start another thread bashing religion would likely become stale and slip to the second page before the 3rd or 4th response.
So the back door approach of making fun of a tradition within the catholic church to soften up the room and hope that the thread gradually moves toward the point of making fun of those that still believe in an invisible hand guiding their lives to some mystical paradise in the sky.

No, he's telling you that if you take that damn cup out of that baws hand and test it in a lab for it's chemical makeup and composition, it will be fricking fermented grapes and not the DNA of Christ. This is not an opinion. Just because you believe something to be true doesn't mean that it's actually true. It is and always will be wine in the fricking cup. It is not to be taken literally. Neither is being born of a virgin or walking on water. We know that is physically and scientifically impossible. It's insane that people even debate about this.

It's not that we are making fun of 1.2 billions people's faith , we are making fun of people for follow the Catholic Church who has no problem with the Preist abusing young boys. If Popeyes endorsed the $5 meal and child butt sex would you still eat there? I doubt it

Try to find where I claimed otherwise. If scientists were able to get DNA from Jesus while he was on earth, I don't think it'd look different than any other humans. I still believe He was God in flesh. Keep attacking that straw man though. It's the best you can do: I get that.

Science can't make that claim. They can claim it's never been observed scientifically and that there is no known way according to what we currently know for it to naturally happen. That's it.

Some priests will go on about how it's the literal transformation into the blood of Christ. But most just leave it be.
When they do go on I always think, well, if you really want to prove it you could just do a chemical analysis on it. Centrifuge or whatever they use to determine that. I know when I have a blood test they have like two pages of stuff they can gauge.
