When younger, my uncle stole all the communion wine and drank it. In a panic, he replaced it with moonshine tinted with grape soda.

My paw paw said the poor old priest took his first sip and then could not stop coughing in the middle of the sacrament.

He got his arse beat for that one.

I think continuing to support an organization that constantly covers up the rape of children is a little nastier than backwash, but that's just me.

This is the blood of Christ that you are talking about.

Kissing your mom on the mouth, and for the same reason: Passed around and everyone gets a taste.

I was not catholic. I was dead last in line behind everyone else. I did not do the sign of the cross. I did not have my mouth open or my hand out. I drank everyone's backwash and wafer pieces.

The look of horror on the priests face when I didn't do sign of cross or have my mouth open or hand out.

What person with any level of intelligence actually believes that the wine has actually been turned into 'the blood of christ'? In the year 2016 do people still seriously think that the preacher has this magical ability to wave their hands and perform some seance and boom this unexplainable miracle just occurs right there in the chalice? Of all the idiotic things people still believe in 2016 I'm truly amazed that this is one of them.

It resembles the blood. Not to be taken literally.

I've been in Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian churches during communion. The worst was the intinction method at a Methodist church. Everyone grabs the bread and rips a piece off then dips it in the cup. One Methodist preacher told us a story (since they like to tell stories instead of preaching) about this time he had a dog toy as a prop in his story, and he was done with the sermon and communion was next. He ends up holding the bread with the same toy his dog has slobbered all over and he got funny looks from 90% of the congregation.

Oh people take that shite literally. They wait in line to drink after a church full of strangers whose lips were no telling where last night and they think this is going to heal them of their sins or whatever else ails them!! Play it down if you like, but they're serious about this shite.

Are you arguing miracles are impossible? That's a pretty illogical argument (an ipse dixit for starters) for someone touting logic.

So you seriously think that this 'miracle' is performed numerous times a week by tens of thousands of people? You seriously think something happens when he waves his hands and says whatever the frick he says? You think so? Wake the frick up Johnny.

So are you saying miracles can't scientifically occur ever or that they can only occur at a set number of times and when there's a set number of people involved?

I'm telling you right fricking now that nothing at all happens when the guy in the robe waves his hands and does his little chant. That's what I'm telling you. Not a damn thing happens. No miracle, no blood, no nothing. It's a fricking cup of wine. Get the frick over it.
