China is probably in the background considering that region of the world is important for their big trade network. Russia and other former soviet states want to keep china the frick out of the region

This is actually a pretty big deal for Russia. They are willingly weakening their position in the ukraine to get this under control

Reminds me a few years ago when the moonbats on the poli board were trying to imply Russia and China were about to team up to become the world's power. I was just like "what makes you think either country would cede even ceremonial perception of control to the other?"

China and Russia, both a-hole

Damn the President over there giving shoot to kill without warning orders on protesters.

This should be a signal to all the people throwing out "fascism" or "communism" as a descriptor of the US right now b/c what's quoted above is ACTUAL authoritarianism.

Russian-China friendly relations lasted for about 5 minutes in the early 1950s.

Coming? It’s here. Twitter banned the President of the United States, elected officials, anyone they deem “dangerous”

The PT has gotten unreadable. There was a time when you could have gotten real discussion and info there. Now it’s a boomer clickbait bowl of insanity.

Due to this crisis, on there I learned that Kazakhstan is the capital of the Illuminati. How delightful!

you know it’s true because an anonymous LARP on the Chans said it was.

Even the meme thread has gotten weak. When you see people using Sam Elliot in a meme template, you’ve reached maximum cringe.

Government removed price controls on gas, prices rose, poor people revolted.

You should never placate the masses with price controls. It always backfires.

Average salary there is like 500 a month.
