Anyone successfully post on Reddit long term?

As some have noted, I like many of the harmless subs, but it seems damn hard not to get banned. The leftism is overwhelming but it’s good to see some freedom fighters in there trying to be rational. Are there subs where it’s okay to rage a bit?

Yes. It is super easy to get alternate accounts over there. I have been banned idk how many times there.

I can't fricking stand it sometimes because of the politics seeping into every topic, but I use it more than here at this point regardless. This place is a ghost town compared to years ago.
There are a few niche subs where the political shite isn't nearly as bad, although it exists in small amounts. For example, the PersonalFinance subreddit.

I've been banned from a few subs. Not because I posted anything so bad, but from just not being liberal in my views. At some point they just decide to ban you. It's fine. I don't care.

My account is 16 years old there. I use it for hobby stuff and sports stuff. Every time I venture outside of my curated subreddit list, I actually feel pretty good about myself because I see how fricking miserable the average user is.

I spent last week on the Strongman board following the World's Strongest Man competition. No problems.

I was banned from that place several years ago after a few days.

I thought Reddit was only for nudes?

I am a double ace on TD - banned 11 times
I have never been banned by Reddit sitewide
I have been banned in some individual subreddits (I was once banned by one for -- I kid you not -- posting the cover of an Elmore Leonard novel. No racism, no homophobia, no anti-communist politics. The cover of a '60s novel)
Ironically if you are smart you get banned less on Reddit b/c you learn to self-censor. TD is freer so you attempt to get away w/more.
As I've said before TD is rare since it's a non-conservative politics, general interest site that is not dominated by the left.

OT-Lounge is basically right of reddit, Half the posts on the OT turns into 13 percent and bring back segregation threads dont see why people here complain about reddit being political.

I keep getting banned for joking. Like, not even anger posting. The last one I appealed and it was reversed but they never actually fixed my account

101 this site golden years

I casually post in r/OrlandoMagic or whatever for game threads. It’s posting with a bunch of equally depressed cynic NBA fans.

Reddit is the successor to Usenet (who remembers that?)
the difference is Usenet was unregulated, Reddit is over regulated
We went from the Wild West to Canada
