I haven't posted on reddit in over 10 years because I was banned from r/Shreveport for disagreeing that a kid that drove around his school's parking lot with a Confederate flag in the back of his truck should have been arrested for a hate crime.

No idea if my account has been unbanned or not.

It's a shame because I did enjoy a few niche subs. Mostly kayaking, bike restoration, woodworking, fitness, etc.

I got banned from r/NewOrleans during COVID for simply disagreeing with the severity of the shutdowns. Nothing I said was derogatory or insulting towards anyone.

That sub is full of leftist retards.

And borderline anarchists. Or full blown Antifa types.

90 percent of Reddit is either Soyjak whining or porn. I’ve posted there maybe twice in 20 years.

I very occasionally post on a few subs, and read others.

Depending on what you're in it may be fairly apolitical on the surface, but you just can't dig too deep (ie, read through high comment posts) because it'll inevitably get political.

"Can I get some thoughts on the new Glycerin Max" is fine and then you start scrolling. So and so was seen wearing them, which is cool, and then someone says it's not cool because so and so is friend with Pete Hegseth and now we've got to boycott Brooks.

You should create your own custom feed that eliminates this. I don't see any of that crap. Mainly on there for cars and travel info.

Of course Reddit is a bunch of losers, but are you seriously claiming that Tigerdroppings isn't also a bunch of losers?

I have received multiple bans on the Baton Rouge subreddit. My most recent one resulted in a permanent ban on Reddit. Hence why I am now here.

I was banned for “hate speech” and because I’m “racist” for questioning a redditor that was asking when the government was going to take care of black folks. I commented “why does the government have to take care of black folks?”. Permanent BAN

My previous 6 month ban was when I defended St. George calling it democracy in action and if you hate St. George then you hate democracy. I was called a bigot and banned for 6 months and 1 day.

I have noticed it’s ok for there to be disparaging remarks about white folks but god forbid you criticize black folks or go against the grain.

I wanted to start a new BR Reddit but my account is permanently banned.

The city and the state subreddits are the worst subs about bringing Trump and transgenderism into every topic. Not that I even like Trump, but I don't really want to discuss Trump in the middle of a thread about the weather in Fort Lauderdale or Jacksonville or whatever.

Stuff like r/cbb or r/cfb is better about avoiding politics.

Yes, the hobby and niche subreddits are great.

I learned how to make easy side money on the /beermoney subreddit.

Mostly read there, and pretty much on 1 sub, JFK assassination. I still think it was a conspiracy, maybe he was a patsy. I just like how in depth some of the people have dug into all the evidence out there.

Eh, there's definitely nudes on Reddit, but you have to deliberately seek out the nude photos in order to find them, and they're really only on subs that are supposed to have nudes. It's not like the politics, where there will sometimes be some random mention of Trump in subs that are not supposed to be political.

Any city/regional reddit sub tends to draw the more leftists out. I live in a solidly 70/30 red TX town and our subreddit is pretty much just complaining about Abbott and datacenters

they do that shite on purpose to lure in conservatives who they can then turn around and ban. it's all deliberate.

I've made 5 different accounts. Banned from all of them. If you even try and post the most luke warm diverging opinion on any of the subs you will be banned from each one and eventually they'll ban your entire account.
