Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday does indeed count for Easter Sunday

It’s a miracle! How did they get Mr. Pibb 12 packs to stay up on the cross?

Just watch it on TV.

I just watch Scalia's funeral mass every Sunday. I seriously doubt the Monsignor and his guitar-strummers can compete.

Haven't been to church in years I laugh my arse off at all the people I work with that are going this weekend. Not even sure why they go since it's clear by their lives they have no faith at all.

People like you are probably the reason they don't come more often.

I'm in church every Sunday and I look forward to seeing families that aren't there that often.

Traffic getting out was worse than normal but I wish that were the case every week.

Dreading having a large gathering of people to worship. How Christian of you.

We held three services today at 8, 9:30, and 11, so that everyone who wanted to come could come. I'd rather them be there only twice a year than not at all. I got to T.C. Williams HS (Remember the Titans) at 7:05am, because the choir and orchestra ride shuttles to church to preserve parking spaces, and played for all three services.

All are welcome.

That’s my MIL. She’s a Eucharistic minister only for the look at me factor and to see who goes to communion.
I was quiet religious at one time, actually spent eight years as a seminarian.
When she became a minister I stopped going to church. Letting her on the alter is a sin in itself.
Two thing will happen instantly when she dies.
The world will become a better place
The devil will get his daughter back

This.

Despite it's length, best mass of the year to attend.

People like you are the reason they don’t come more often. I guarantee even though they only come 2x per year, the “phonies” get more out of it than you do.

My favorite part of the OP is it reminds me why I quit going to church. The people in them are terrible.

Oh yeah the Vigil is not doubt the longest Mass of the year.....but the crowd is very reasonable and it's all pretty much people that we see at Mass weekly outside of the Catechumens families.

Aren’t you supposed to be encouraging people to come to your church instead of complaining about them being there?

Why do Catholics not eat meat on Fridays during lent? Specifically meat of animals that live on land, since apparently its ok to eat fish on Friday. Is this supposed to represent some sort of sacrifice, by giving up land meat or just trying to help out the local fishermen? It really benefits local seafood restaurants on Friday, I have noticed. Never have I seen George's so packed on a Friday for thin cut catfish.

Side note: OP sounds miserable. No one cares how much you go to church lol
