Darkness rejoiced as though heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That's when death was arrested and my life began

Yep.
Hang in there. Buddy and his wife took years with IVF but now they’ve got beautiful twins and another in the oven. All you can do is your best to keep your stress down and be the best you possible.

I didn't read the whole title. I was agreeing and dreading seeing the Easter only crowd without the church part. The church strangers will be the good part of the day.

Agree.
Really powerful tune.
Here's a couple of mine. They're ballads that I first heard right after my conversion in 1975. Both put some flesh and bone on the gospel narratives from two different perspectives.
(I see it's nearly 1:00 am. Happy Easter to you and family and loved ones. He is risen!)
Too Small A Price-Don Francisco (lyrics in video)
He's Alive-Don Francisco
[quote]
The gates and doors were barred and all the windows fastened down,
I spent the night in sleeplessness and rose at every sound,
Half in hopeless sorrow
half in fear the day,
Would find the soldiers breaking through to drag us all away.
Then just before the sunrise I heard something at the wall,
The gate began to rattle and a voice began to call,
I hurried to the window and looked down to the street,
Expecting swords and torches and the sound of soldiers feet,
There was no one there but Mary so I went down to let her in,
John stood there beside me as she told us were she'd been,
She said they moved him in the night and none of us knows where, The stones been rolled away and now his body isn't there.
We both ran toward the garden then John ran on ahead,
We found the stone and the empty tomb just the way that Mary said, But the winding sheet they wrapped him in was just an empty shell,
And how or where they'd taken him was more than I could tell.
Something strange had happened there but what I did not know,
John believed a miracle but I just turned to go,
Circumstance and speculation couldn't lift me very high,
Cause I'd seen them crucify him
and then I'd watched him die.
Back inside the house again all the guilt and anguish came,
Everything I'd promised him just added to my shame,
When at last it came to choices I denied I knew his name,
Even If he was alive it couldn't be the same.
But suddenly the air was filled with a strange and sweet perfume,
Light that came from everywhere drove shadows from the room, Jesus stood before me with his arms held open wide,
And I fell down on my knees and clung to him and cried,
He raised me to my feet and as I looked into his eyes,
Love was shining out from him like sunlight from the sky,
Guilt and my confusion disappeared in sweet release,
And every fear I'd ever had just melted into peace.
He's alive, He's alive, He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heavens gates are open wide.
He's alive, He's alive, He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heavens gates are open wide.
He's alive, He's alive, He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heavens gates are open wide.

One of Jesus’ chosen followers (regular church goer) ended up betraying him.
And one of the biggest sinners was transformed by a single encounter with the loving forgiveness of Jesus, and she ever-after at his feet, loving him through the worst of his trials.
Come one and all. Taste and see the goodness that is Jesus.
See y’all at Easter Service!

I appreciate church going folks judging others.
Just one example is families who have other families in town visiting who go to church together. Does that put you out.
You need to pray for yourself more. You need it.

Ill be completely honest. You sound like a phony. A real Christian would be happy whenever more people attend church. Its a great opportunity to reach people.

If you go to the Vigil you don't have to worry about this as much....that's what my family does.

You know, maybe they’re looking to attend more often?

Sorta like when I hate the crowds showing up at my favorite fishing spot because the weather is nice

If you're not at Mass everyday, you're a faker.
If you're getting up in the Communion line without reconciliation, you're a faker.
If there is a line and not a rail, fake.
If it's not in Latin. Fake.
Step up your game, rookie.

Even if just one of those people encountered the Holy Spirit and decided to give their life up to Christ it would be worth it. Probably more evangelism in Easter/Christmas service than most other things we can do.
