I'm far from a perfect Christian myself. Maybe something they hear this weekend at church will resonate with them and they will start attending more frequently? That's a great thing imo.

Very well said nurse

sit in the same pew, etc. Except on Christmas and Easter when the phonies show up and congest the place.

can’t have someone else sitting on “your” pew.

Also....my husband stopped going to church a couple years ago. He still believes, I think he just got jaded with our church..who knows. I hope one day he'll start going again. I stopped going when he stopped then decided that just because he doesn't go...doesn't mean my relationship with God has to suffer. So when I do go..I'm going by myself.

But I don't know if I'm up for going by myself tomorrow on Easter Sunday.

I’m “catholic” but I don’t believe making a ritual out of Sunday to listen to words of hypocrites and liars is the best use of my Sunday.

I believe if you live a good life, it doesn’t matter if you follow a religion or not.

Now, if I ever have kids and live in Louisiana, they are going to catholic school...no questions asked

That's completely understandable. I feel like most time, man takes the message and completely mixes it up and adds his own inputs into it. Kind of like the OP. Man ruins it. By itself, the message is clear and simple. The key is to find the right church and keep a distance from interaction with others in said church as much as possible.

Ah, the ole convenience Catholic. Or, in other words, Catholic.

I'm dreading it so much that I think I'm just going to stick with my same plan of the other 51 weekends of the year and sleep in

No. There's got to be some ember of belief compelling their actions. They'll worship, participate in the sacrament of communion, and hear the sermon. Better there than not there.

Easter will be a bunch of families there as well. That's when many don't take their kids to the free childcare area. Due to recent stuff...I have moments when I'm more sensitive to that. Last thing I want to see is all the happy families at church tomorrow and me just sitting all alone and childless.

So I might just stay home and watch the sermon online. They live stream all of the services.

Or the “I was raised catholic” and disagree with the way they run shite but I agree with the family values they teach.

I have zero interest in ever personally going back to mass but if it means keeping my children out of Louisiana public schools (most not all), that is the only way I ever step foot in again besides weddings, funerals, baptisms

If I’m correct in my assumption, my wife and I went through the same last week. Knowing how hard it is, sending good vibes your way.

I don't have any losses(don't know if that was what you were thinking). Just still doing IVF. People don't realize IVF can be a lengthy process that spans a couple of months. Still waiting for transfer next month or June.
