I went to 6pm mass tonight. I don't want to deal with amateur hour tomorrow.

And by the way there will a second collection today!
There usually is. It's for a specific cause and they tell you what that is.

Nope. I go Easter Vigil on Saturday evening.

Dr Pepper was crucified on the Mount of Cokes, for the sins of corporate America in giving the little children the Diabeetus.

I'm here for all the judging. From the good Christian's of the O-T. I'll drink my holy spirits and eat crawfish.

We should turn this into an in-game thread.

I like seeing some people and pissing off the judgmental fricks like you.

Went to a Catholic Saturday evening mass instead. It included baptisms, confirmations, and first communions. It lasted 2.5 hours but was most entertaining and fulfilling to the soul! It was not crowded.

That’s the way Jesus felt too when he was hanging in the cross.
“I hope the only people that recognize my sacrifice are regulars”

This thread almost makes me want to go to a church to troll the regulars by being there.
Almost. I’m not getting out of bed.

Easter and Christmas the two biggest money making days for those kind of places.
I don't know what church you go to...but not the case at my church.
Yes they do a collection like every Sunday. But they also say (like they do on every Sunday) "If this is your first time visiting us or you are a guest, please just pass that basket along to your neighbor, your presence here today is already a gift to us".
quote:
If you give me money and praise me you go to heaven.
Again...don't know what church you go to.
My church teaches me the only way to Heaven is to accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior. You can't buy your way into Heaven.

I know that. Sometimes a third. It’s all about the money. No different than the TV holly rollies .

Isn't "not judging" one of the most important aspects of religion?

No! Actually I'm glad they're there.
I remember a holy priest friend telling me, "Whatever it takes to get them in Church.....do it". Who knows they may drop their guard for a moment during the service and God will 'ping' them. NEVER underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit my friend.
A suggestion please. Pray for them.....pray for everyone in the congregation......including yourself.
